excited to share a new toy called bash. it’s a multiplayer coding agent with social built around it starting with invites and a waitlist, and we’ll open it up as quickly as possible bash.tv

everyone racing to build the same interactive video thing over the weekend just to get some likes and reposts is a perfect encapsulation of where software is going

a fun UX trick for harnesses is to show code progress as KB, rather than tokens or time adds a sort of physicality

Notes from day 6 of DAU-pilling @onbashtv: - This was my first time actually paying attention to a real-time/live chat/building session (like a "live stream") of someone building with the agent in real time. Very cool/fun to see the live chat with other people chatting with @dhof, you actually feel the community and it non-trivially enhances the experience. You kind of just want to stick around to chat with folks - The harness is so interesting because I have not yet built something that's "broken". Everything that's created/prompted "works" automatically - Everyone's spaces/artifacts are meant to be multiplayer so the rest of the community can participate...like different rooms at a house party where you pop in and out
Notes from day 5 of DAU-pilling @onbashtv: - Easily one of the coolest features is that the "users" are global - When you create a game and you want it to be multiplayer, all of the logic of allowing other players on Bash to be stored/state/etc. are already wired in - It's the same when you play a game, your Bash user ID is used for all of the other games on the platform - TLDR: all of the social/multiplayer stuff happens across every artifact/space automatically. Very cool! Probably the most compelling multiplayer/social part of Bash so far
