Tisbury & Dolphin Sands
Finished copy of my new novel has arrived. Pub date 14 May. I began it in 2019 but was interrupted by Ian Fleming, since when events in the US have come to mimic the plot.

Imagine if in 1943 FDR had decided that the US would stop helping Britain and instead would side with the Third Reich. That's a bit like what President Trump is now doing by cozying up to Russia as it tries to destroy Ukraine. Utterly shameful. A humiliating moment for the US.

Can anyone remember the last time @BBCNews interviewed a Palestinian about their experience of the racism of Zionism? Having spent the last two weeks interviewing elderly Nakba survivors in Jordan, driven off their land in their teens because of their ethnicity and religion, I'd be happy to suggest some astonishingly articulate victims of Israeli racism who would be only too happy to tell their tragic stories of eviction, slaughter and dispossession. It is like reporting on the Civil Rights movement in the US and only interviewing outraged Whites @bbclaurak @bbcnickrobinson @JustinOnWeb @BBCr4today
“[Saying] ‘Zionism is racism’ is offensive, it’s antisemitic and it’s dangerous” Broadcaster Jo Coburn says she “watched in horror” as the Green Party passed its motion on Zionism and criticises leader Zack Polanski's defence in his #BBCLauraK interview bbc.co.uk/news/live/c64gv8k2…

If only each and every one of those who read this tweet were to buy my new thriller – about trying to stop a DT-like candidate from becoming POTUS, and succeeding – then it would become a bestseller indeed!

Canada is the greatest country on earth. A country where you are free to be who you want to be. To speak your mind. To worship as you choose. To live your life as you wish. That is independence. That is sovereignty.

Trump is lying again. Putin started the war and has repeatedly refused to negotiate to end it. The US spent nothing like $350 billion. Half the money is not missing. Washington and Moscow are both significantly more corrupt than Kyiv. Putin, not Zelensky, is a dictator who openly steals elections.
And not a word about Putin, who started this bloody war and is killing Ukrainians. Trump is Putin's friend, as he himself says.

I have tried to pass on this wisdom to my sons.

Everywhere else in the world it’s more or less recognized that guns kill people and vaccines save people, but in the US it’s the other way round.

Now we have very, very, very stupid presidents.
🚨🇺🇸 Vance: I sympathize with Americans who are exhausted by 25 years of foreign interventions in the Middle East. I understand their concerns, but the difference is that back then, we had stupid presidents.
