I did not expect Rust and gpui to become the de facto go-to for creating nice Linux/MacOS UI apps. But I guess it's not like we have any other nice options.

Leaders who talk about what people want to hear are boring. That's not leadership, that's marketing by validating your beliefs. People like @dhh face you with reality and get all hate for it, but it's useful to accept it. Letting go is one of the hardest skills in life.

Someone should make QuickShell based on GPUI.

None of the tooling out there for agents makes me particularly happy. I've developed a workflow that really works for me. It's GPUI+Rust, allows talking to any agent. I'll polish it up and release it at some point.
