"Our old gelding went blind in March and the goose has walked him to water every day since. She gets her body against his shoulder and steers him with it. When there's something in the way she stops and plants herself and he stops too. Then she taps the side of the tank so he knows where it is. Nobody taught her any of that.

A few days ago, I rescued a pregnant mama cat. Today, she gave birth to two beautiful kittens, and one of them immediately stole a piece of our hearts. The tiny baby came into the world barely moving. His little body was limp and quickly losing heat. I cleaned and dried him and ended up performing CPR on this tiny kitten, desperately trying to bring him back. Then, after what felt like forever, he opened his tiny mouth and let out the most powerful scream. I will never forget that sound. I couldn’t believe something so small could have that much fight in him. I placed him back with his mama, but he became limp again while his sibling was moving around and looking for food. I tried CPR again, gently massaging his tiny heart, and once again, he screamed. Unfortunately, he couldn’t latch onto his mama, so my son rushed out to get kitten formula. We started feeding him ourselves, and so far, he’s still fighting. Please keep your fingers crossed for this little warrior. The fight isn’t over yet, but he has already fought so hard just to stay alive. 🐾🙏❤️ I hope everyone is having a less stressful Sunday than I am.
