Explain to me the difference between buying and selling a few years later…..vs…..buying and selling a few minutes later?
Why is one gambling and one investing? The definition of investing is buying an asset with the expectation it will appreciate in value overtime. “Overtime” doesnt mean years, it means overtime….could be 5 years, could be 5 minutes.
People are quick to call day trading “gambling” because it removes the accountability from their failure of not being able to follow a process and control their emotions.

I built a Photoshop-like image editor. It’s called Compositor.

I originally built it for myself to get off my Adobe subscription, but decided to release it for free and make it open source. It has all the essential tools I need for compositing, with none of the BS.
I know this workflow is kind of archaic in 2026, but I’m still using it until AI can actually get pixel-perfect on some of the details.
The entire app is 12MB. Photoshop is 6,455MB on my machine.

We build in public. The rest takes care of itself.
@LuxAlgo really is quietly becoming the goat.
Just Vela alone:
- Supports custom drawing layers - something Lightweight Charts can't do today.
- Computes bars directly with no data provider, key or network call. You can rule out anything that renders someone else's data basically.
- Comes with like 70+ built-in studies out of the box. In TypeScript too not shitty Pine.
- Owns saved chart state via a storage hook the app supplies. Again something Lightweight Charts can't do today.
And no copyleft licenses anywhere for the 200+ packages.
I've spent the last 2 weeks ripping out my current charting infra in favor of Vela.

one dude with exceptional vision & taste who knows what should exist & can provide the right feedback loops for iteration.
& one dude who is absolutely relentless about making it real no matter what.
