The Sites updates that I've seen matter most from my side aren’t just speed. Shared editing, private invites, domains, and being able to use GPT for comprehensive scans are what transform a team's project for even less effort now. Love talking to builders in the space. If you have a use case worth seeing, or just want to compare elements feel free to dm.
Three months ago, we launched ChatGPT Sites – an easy way for anyone to build and host fully functional, interactive web apps. Since then, people have created over 5M sites. We’ve been listening to your feedback and ICYMI, we’ve launched a few Sites updates: 🫂 Build together: Invite teammates to edit, save, and publish to your shared Site 🔐 Share privately: Invite specific people to a private Site without making it public 🚀 Launch faster: Go from prompt to deployment in half the time 👀 Explore your data: Ask ChatGPT to inspect your Site’s database. Editors can view it, too 🌐 Add your own custom domain

if a human mathematician came up with 100 proofs to important pure maths and theoretical cs problems but didn’t release them, there would be riots

GPT-6 Sol and Luna are out. Not only are they a very significant improvement across the board, but also in writing and general "you know when you try it" quality. We are also permanently reducing the API price by 50% making both of them viable for a ton of new usecases and making your usage go further too, even on the subscriptions. And one more thing. We are loading a banked reset into all accounts of our Plus, Pro and Business users. Let's go! openai.com/index/introducing…
We have been focusing on efficiency and intelligence for all. Very proud of the team. Only possible when you have incredible models at the top end of the capability that you can then use to make a big difference in everything else.

Please welcome GPT-6 Sol and GPT-6 Luna to the GPT-6 universe. GPT-6 Sol and Luna build on the advances behind GPT-6 Astra, bringing much of its strengths into faster and more affordable models to support work at scale. We’ve also made caching and inference more efficient, and we’re passing the savings directly to you: 50% lower API prices for Sol and Luna compared with GPT‑5.6 promotional pricing.

Regardless of the current AI phase, we promise to build in an ethical manner! Great read on what's to come
People outside the AI labs should have a real say in how this technology develops, and a clear way to judge if it's happening safely. Standards should help prevent the concentration of power, including by making sure new companies and open-model companies can compete. They should also help countries and companies compare evidence and learn from failures. We think the US should lead this effort. Here is our proposal: openai.com/index/building-st…

Time and time again we see that it’s easiest to just use closed models and get around the guardrails with a bit of prompting.
It looks like all it took to bypass Opus's guardrails was to make it think it was attempting a CTF during a /goal

Not to sound too cliche, but tools like Codex changed my life. My background is mechanical engineering. Never really did any serious code. Didn’t even know how to install GitHub a year ago. Now, I literally get paid to building agents and harnesses, thanks to tools like Codex. Last month I became a Codex ambassador in Salk Lake City. Got some cool selfies today with @sama and @thsottiaux. Thanks @OpenAIDevs for building such a great community with great vibes.

Hearing overwhelmingly positive feedback so far but please don't be discouraged to report any noticed issues!
we launched 2 cool updates today 1. ChatGPT gift cards: use them toward subscriptions and usage credits on ChatGPT web. US only for now. 2. Voice in the desktop app now costs ~60% less, so you get 2.4x as much usage as before. just another monday ✅

You'll just have to wait and see what we're bringing to the table👀🤷‍♂️
DevDay 2026 is on Sept 29. Tibo is teasing another launch wave before it. My bets: 1. GPT-6 Sol, maybe Terra/Luna. Astra is expensive and capacity-hungry, so a cheaper tier makes sense. 2. Another banked Codex reset. Please. What else could ship?

After Kiley was diagnosed with glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer, doctors told her she might have only months to live. At 18, she wrote a will, chose a casket, and began living scan to scan. But, over the next five years, she kept on living, defying expectations. Her scans stayed stable. Why? How? After a recent MRI, her husband @ColeLemasters used ChatGPT to help make sense of the dense language in her radiology report. That conversation led him back to Kiley’s original biopsy records, where ChatGPT helped surface a crucial detail: an IDH1 mutation. In partnership with her neuro-oncologist, he then confirmed what that meant. Under updated medical standards, Kiley’s tumor was not glioblastoma, but an IDH-mutant astrocytoma: still serious, but with a very different prognosis. Instead of bracing for the worst, Kiley and her doctors began focusing her treatment plan on long-term care. Now, after years of uncertainty, she and Cole are planning for a future.

This week will also be a level of ships that you could have expected for DevDay 2025. Crazy

These things arent as provoking as the ladder. The unfortunate truth is that your mentioned areas don't sell like fear.
WHERE IS THE EVIDENCE-BASED MEDIA PUSHBACK AND SKEPTICISM? WHERE IS THE NEWS JUDGMENT AND VERIFICATION? WHERE IS THE INTELLECTUAL HONESTY GROUNDED IN SCIENCE AND FACTS? Or do you just want to scare the hell out of your audience, yelling fire in a crowded theater, with sci-fi doomerism to get clicks and views? I guess so. Read this: “If you actually have, or are close to having, an AI capable of curing diseases and saving millions of lives, and you are deliberately slowing it down or refusing to make those capabilities available, then we also need to talk about the human cost of THAT decision, which you fearmongering people are going to be responsible for! More than 150,000 people die every single day around the world. Every. Single. Day. More than 90% from Cancer, heart disease, infections, aging.” “Talk about saving millions and eventually billions of lives. Instead, we constantly hear this “AI WILL KILL US ALL!” crap, delivered with absolute certainty and with this smug smile on your faces in front of cameras, as though imagining a science fiction extinction scenarios. I am actually angry about this. Each one of you causing a delay in AI advance every single day will be personally responsible for those 100 thousands deaths that could have been prevented!"

i gave astra a robot, a paint brush, and a camera then asked it to paint the golden gate bridge in real life! it figured out how to control the robot, and progressively got better throughout its attempts. the timelapse is sick
