this is actually what fascinated me with 911twt ngl. like i have never seen such a cult-like fandom: in a self-gaslighting loop and so intolerant of hard facts and critique. the willingness to eat shit from the showrunner's butt is unparalleled 😭😭

the gp gets nothing out of this, since they don’t remember shit most of the times and the intelligent part of the fandom hates this type of writing…so who is this for? like it sometimes feel like they put old scripts and drafts into chatgpt to get material instead of new writing

you can’t disguise this as some clever character evolution when you’ve been “adult-ing” him for the last nine seasons. and then we ask ourselves why other characters (eg eddie) always get put on the backseat when buck has been over-written with no actual development for years now

i feel like if every time you try to let your character grow you regress him to the same starting point you used to have at s1 and you keep repeating the same pattern of “selfish and childish man needs to mature” every season…you obviously ran out of material for this character

there's a reason the show glossed over the acquisition and made buck speak to the least informed on child care. it regressed buck's character back to s1. buck ignoring all logic when there's a lack of credentials and persisting insecurities that affect HIS well-being is immature.

ostark describing buck as if he ever stopped being impulsive? buck listened to the high school dropout and leaped to get himself a child. the acquisition was introduced in bad context and buck ignoring all the red flags shows that he did not grow out of being a young ho lmaooo.

oliver stark but with buckwhump and post lawsuit fics in few years
October 28, 2026 Blind Item #22 - The Show A certain former actor who played a high IQ genius on a long-running procedural has had a secret AO3 account for years. His bookmarks consistent of DDDNE whump fics of the character that he played on the show. The actor reads these whenever he gets sad. Throughout his almost two decades on the show, the actor used to talk the writers into never giving his character a break. However, some of his suggestions for his character, who was a surprising fan-favorite, were so depressing that the showrunner flat out refused. After the first few years of his ideas being rejected, the actor took to AO3 to at least put his ideas for his character out into the world, even if they weren't canon. To be clear, both the fanfics he wrote and had bookmarked were just heartbreaking for his character, but none of these had anything beyond what's generally socially acceptable in a script or in the fanfiction community. Recently, the actor was asked to return for a second cameo in the reboot of the show. One of his terms of his return was that one of the fanfics he's written for his character be written into the season's narrative arc for his character. As soon as he sent the email, though, the studio's filters flagged it as a threat due to the graphic violence described (even though it was just a plot idea for the character he plays, and not an actual threat). The HR staff member forced to review the email was reportedly "deeply disturbed" and "concerned about where he even gets these ideas." She asked him if everything was ok at home, and pulled in the FBI consultant to sit in on the meeting (he was similarly disturbed but agreed there was no active threat). The actor was forced to go to a mandatory HR training after this, and the HR staff member and consultant both informally suggested that he see a professional. His character is so popular amongst fans, though, that the studio has considered accepting the terms of his return.
