I'm just wondering if they're putting these polls up to increase traffic to their site.

Doesn't work, because they're externally hosted.

Have 2 already. People would never go back to an ICE car after driving one.

Don't they realise that all new cars will be EVs within a decade?

Done. Yes. Shame that there isn’t an option for “I have already purchased an EV, I love it, and I would never go back to an ICE vehicle.”

Still begging for cash. Be interesting to see if the prediction from @carolvorders that they’ll be gone in 18 months time comes about. I wonder if Sunak would like to have a wager.

Best thing I did. I am a 74 year old volunteer driver seven days a week and drove 2,361 miles in November for less than £50.

GB news is not the hotbed of reactionary climate deniers I thought it was.

Not that such polls are indicative but still good to see it go against their “wishes”. Of course they are not going to discuss it on their channel if it doesn’t fit in with their agenda…

I feel dirty just for voting in a GBeebies poll, but sometimes you’ve just got to swallow your pride and do the right thing…

This shouldn't even be a political question. Although in a way I'm not surprised that there is such crossover between GBeebies viewers and EV-haters. Both refuse to embrace change or consider anybody but themselves.

About a year before the pandemic I was asking anyone I talked to about EVs. Every single person said that their next car would be electric. All ages, from 20s to 80s... Not a huge sample, but I have friends and friends of friends in all ages, all walks of life from rich to poor.

I see you can vote repeatedly in this not very scientific poll (sending this message from my EV) (which I am not driving).

But elderly gammons who think they'll save a bpn or two going to the supermarket and have their own homes with space for charging will vote yes. The average worker that has on street parking is stuffed. It's not mature as a concept yet.

Missing option: Hybrid. In Australia, there's been no real effort or drive by government to encourage the infrastructure for EV charging, so Hybrids are a practical option until the two major parties are out of the picture (getting closer every election cycle).

I bet a good percentage probably goes to the off-licence every day for their frosty jacks on a mobility scooter
