We have Christians who are addicted to pornography and masturbation.
Yes, Christians.
People who attend church.
People who worship.
People who pray.
People who read the Bible.
People who serve in church.
And some of them are fighting this battle in secret, because they are too ashamed to tell anyone.
We need to stop pretending that every Christian has everything figured out.
Pornography and masturbation are not harmless habits. They can become strongholds that affect your mind, your desires, your relationships and your walk with God.
The Bible says:
βFlee fornication.β β 1 Corinthians 6:18
βWalk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.β β Galatians 5:16
βMake not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.β β Romans 13:14
If you are struggling with this, don't run away from God because you are ashamed. Run to God because you need His help.
Confess it.
Repent.
Cut off the things that keep feeding the habit.
Stop making provision for the flesh.
Seek accountability.
Renew your mind with the Word of God.
And keep walking with Christ.
Grace is not a licence to continue in sin. Grace teaches us to deny ungodliness and live righteously. β Titus 2:11β12
There is no victory in hiding.
Bring the battle into the light. Christ did not save you so that you could remain a slave to what He came to set you free from.
