To everyone who hates on Elon Musk because he's now worth over $1 trillion: Remember what he risked to get there. After PayPal, @elonmusk walked away with about $180 million. He could have retired for life. Instead, he invested almost all of it into @SpaceX and @Tesla. Then came three straight Falcon 1 failures. One more failure and SpaceX would have gone bankrupt. Tesla was also on the verge of collapse. Musk has said he was borrowing money from friends just to pay his rent because he had run out of cash. The fourth launch succeeded. That success saved SpaceX, led to a major NASA contract, and gave Tesla enough time to survive. You don't have to agree with everything Elon Musk says or does. But if you're judging how he built his fortune, understand this: he didn't inherit a trillion dollars or play it safe. He bet virtually everything he had on companies most people thought would fail, and in doing so helped transform electric vehicles, private spaceflight, and satellite internet for us all. People who create extraordinary value by taking extraordinary risks deserve recognition, not resentment. Thanks Elon.

My response to @GerberKawasaki's AI phone post was quoted by @Benzinga in its coverage of the future of AI driven smartphones. The discussion focused on who might build the first great AI phone. Today's AI smartphone features are often impractical, inconsistent, or simply forgotten after the novelty wears off. Most consumers are not changing phones because of AI, and many aren't using the AI features they already have. The real question is whether AI will evolve from a gimmick into something people genuinely trust for everyday tasks. Do you believe AI assistants will become practical and reliable enough that you'd trust them to handle routine tasks like ordering a pizza, scheduling appointments, making purchases, and managing your day without constant supervision? I just felt my first earthquake! News reports indicate that a magnitude 6.1 earthquake occurred near Cuba and was reportedly felt in portions of Florida. The funny part is that I spent years living in California and never felt an earthquake there, yet I felt one in Florida. cbsnews.com/miami/news/cuba-…

The US is no longer the global leader in research output. In the CWTS Leiden output focused rankings, Chinese universities now surpass US institutions. In 2010, only one Chinese university ranked in the top 25. Today, 19 do, including the top two. US universities need to refocus on what truly drives academic excellence. traditional.leidenranking.co…

Our world hangs like a magnificent jewel in the vastness of space. Every one of us is a part of that jewel. A facet of that jewel. And in the perspective of infinity, our differences are infinitesimal. -Fred "Mister" Rogers

It's disheartening to consider how many well-intentioned individuals were oppressed by the Democratic machine but lacked @realDonaldTrump or @elonmusk influence and resilience to fight back.
