Human hand and soul; no AI or anything else like that. Work in lots of mediums, from oil painting to pixel art, primarily and almost entirely from imagination.

"The Sphinx Awaiting Decision" The piece I've been working on on and off this past year. #pixelart

I see The Algorithm didn't like this one, here's a closeup anyway:
Had a dream a couple of weeks ago of stumbling upon a fragment of a really high quality Roman fresco, one that I've never seen before but similar to the ones from Herculaneum. Felt compelled to bring it to life. The face and torso are the closest to what I saw.

The environment was an afterthought, and with the basket it was a loose memory (just remembered a similar weave type pattern). The painting itself was done almost entirely from imagination, with only the leg requiring a bit of refreshing. Had to delve into leg anatomy a bit

What I love about the art of the early renaissance is the precision and finality that's inherent to it. This is the reason I perfer it in many ways to the later manneristic and baroque developments, and beyond, where artworks become looser and lose this sense of total finish.
He estado unos minutos a solas con Mantegna. No se puede explicar con palabras.

It's also the reason why I really like ancient Egyptian art, even though it's very simplistic and formulaic artistically. In any case, there is room for looseness in my estimation but it should not be used to cut corners.

I am writing a series of short articles on my Patreon about the biggest gaming exploit I ever managed to pull off: I finally beat The City of the Dark Obelisk – Extended Edition! I understand why you don’t believe me. Link in the comments, if you are curious.

Timelapse of the Piazzetta study, no zooming and moving this time around. Besides a very good composition, there's a certain "atmospheric" quality to this work that I want to lean into a bit more with my own art. Trying to find the right balance.

Quick sketch for fun. Found those Mycenaean boar tusk helmets pretty interesting.

Timelapse of the Titian study. A little jumpy but hopefully not too bad for you guys. Will have to look into making timelapses without the zooming and all that type of movement.

Titian study. I have to admit that I never really liked Titian, but over the past year—as I started seriously analysing different artists' work—he's really grown on me. I think I'll do another 1 or 2 of these, and that'll be it for this bout of studies.

Some foot studies from 2019-2020. My idea was to study the entire body this way, segmenting it into parts (starting with the foot) in various positions and light angles, to achieve a near-perfect intuitive understanding of the human body. It proved to be a little too crazy.

In the end I only did the feet and some head studies of an ancient bust. It was laborious work, too laborious as a study to merit continuing it, but definitely effective.
