Well the TRUTH IS OUT FOLKS….
AND DEMOCRATS ARE PISSED.
For weeks, people were handed a story before investigators had finished establishing the facts.
A Black woman was found hanging from a tree in Mississippi, and almost instantly the machinery started.
“Lynching.”
“White supremacy.”
“Racial terror.”
No identified racial motive. No completed investigation. No suspects publicly established at the time.
Just imagery, history, emotion, and political inference presented as though inference were evidence.
Then the arrests came.
Two Black men.
A third suspect still being sought.
And suddenly the people who had been so magnificently certain became considerably quieter.
That is the part I find contemptible.
Not demanding an investigation. Demand one.
Not questioning authorities. Question them.
But taking the suffering of Tasia Fortune and converting it into political currency before the evidence existed is intellectually meretricious.
Her case deserved forensic discipline.
Instead, parts of the public conversation received a prefabricated racial narrative.
Facts are supposed to determine the story.
The story is not supposed to determine which facts are permitted to survive.
So tonight, we are going back through exactly what was said, who said it, what investigators have actually established, and what remains unknown.
Because if you screamed “lynching” before you had evidence of a racial motive, the question is no longer merely what happened to Tasia Fortune.
