I have spent my career on the derivatives desk, and the things institutions ask for have not changed: sharp pricing, the flexibility to trade the structure they actually want, and transparency from quote through settlement.
What has changed is how digital asset derivatives desks offer it.
For a long time, trading crypto derivatives meant accepting workflows no institution would tolerate elsewhere. Messaging a desk and waiting, comparing a price you cannot see against a market on another screen, reconstructing your own trade history after the fact.
