Privacy, and our basic freedoms, are under attack from all sides. Incredibly, the so-called 'liberal democracies' are now leading these attacks; arresting their own citizens for posting online, rolling out facial recognition cameras, and moving to ban VPNs. "What can men do against such reckless hate?" And are we losing this battle? Absolutely not. There's still time to fight back, and we have much in our arsenal. We at @bitcoinpolicyuk have put together a 'Privacy Toolkit', that should let anyone, whatever their skill level, take a few small steps towards improving their privacy and their freedom, and making themselves just a little bit harder for governments to track and to oppress. This isn't comprehensive, and we'll continue to update it as time goes by. We hope it's useful to everyone and serves as a handy guide to help us all push back against government overreach, wherever we find it. Link in the thread and comments welcome! 👇
🚨NEW: Britain has developed a reputation as perhaps the most censorious 'liberal' democracy. How did we get here — and what can we do about it? ✍️: @charliecolecc investigates. 📖: pimlicojournal.co.uk/p/resto…

The single biggest difference between humans and AI agents is the amount of actions they execute on a computer per unit of time. AI agents can look and act just like humans, but execute 10,000X more actions per unit time. that's the tell. so the key to defending cyberspace from AI slop or AI attacks is to target ACTION, not IDENTITY. trying to detect AI is a fool's errand; targeting its BEHAVIOR is the key. So if you want to deter AI from accessing your website/system, simply make it expensive in computational tokens to ACT on your website. Make every command or button cost a token, and suddenly it's 10,000X more costly for AI to act than a human. You can't stop AI, but you can make it extraordinarily expensive to use it. We already know this intuitively, because everybody who has ever run openclaw or their own personal AI agents knows that the single biggest LIMFAC is compute tokens. your AI is only as good as your compute token wallet. but AI compute is constantly getting cheaper and better, and some countries have far better AI compute than others, creating a major imbalance of power. so the key to long term success is to create some kind of universal, non-sovereign, geopolitically neutral compute token network. that is, we need some kind of network that accounts for a bunch of transferable tokens that are computationally expensive to produce. that no amount of AI compute can produce more of. we need a proof-of-compute token network. and we need it to be fully decentralized so that no single person or polity can gain permanent or centralized control over it. we need this network to be globally dispersed. and we need to figure out a way to distribute those compute tokens in a way that's fair, that gives no single person or polity an advantage over the others. perhaps in some kind of first-come first-served basis, where the users who provide the computational power are given the tokens and free to spread them out however they want. if we had this compute token network, the final step to saving ourselves against AI is to simply adopt the habit of making every online action cost some fraction of a compute token, so that it's orders of magnitude more expensive for AI agents to operate online than humans. the first nation to discover this compute token network and use it to its defensive advantage against the threat of agentic AI will win the 21st century. BTW that compute token network is Bitcoin.

Buy a house you can afford on one income. Keep the old car. Have three kids. Eat pancakes on Sunday mornings. Take camping trips. Coach their little league teams. Invite neighbors over for dinner. Put $1,000 a month into investments. Pay off the house before 50. Then spend your 60s watching your grandkids play in the backyard. That’s a life worth getting rich for.

It’s time KYC and AML rules die. The entire concept never made sense. It ads friction. It’s an illegitimate and unethical use of government power. It does no net good and stops virtually no crime. Time for it to go.
JUST IN: 🇺🇸 SEC Commissioner Hester Peirce calls to end mass KYC data collection, warning it puts crypto holders at risk of phishing and physical attacks. Pierce says the current KYC/AML system creates massive databases of sensitive information that can be hacked, leaked, or exploited. She's pushing for zero-knowledge proofs (ZK proofs) that could verify users meet regulatory requirements without exposing their personal information.

Standard US investment advice: put your money in an S&P500 tracker. Net returns: 9% annual. Martin Lewis advice : if you switch between these four 1.2% savings accounts in this specific order, you can get an extra £200. Net returns: £200
The problem with the popularity of Martin Lewis, as an economic advisor for the masses, is that it reflects a stagnant economy and, consequently, an economic ethos geared towards extracting more from a fixed pie instead of trying to make the pie bigger.

Consider what this grim scenario means at a national scale. How do YOU fit into this picture with respect to YOUR household finances? Your savings? Your job security from AI risk? Do you build? Do you sell? Do you create monetary value as a multiplier of your fixed cost to your employer? If so, by how much - and - to what extent is that ROI safe from automation? @trevgoes4th @ColeFusionHQ @GreatBritishTT
Missed this, sorry. It’s an excellent question. Mark earns 2/3rds of their household income, so losing him wipes out 145% of the monthly surplus. Losing Claire, a third of the income, wipes out 87%. So it’s not like the household can survive without either one given they’re both on the mortgage most likely and the lending conditions are predicated on them both earning as expected. £450k is 4.7x joint income, the same ratio as the 2014 purchase, but if we just use Mark then it is 7.1x single income. Every house in Arnold has two salaries baked into the price, so a two-income household is levered rather than diversified. Unlike with the local coalfields, both Arnold incomes here are exposed to the same tech, so idiosyncratic risk becomes correlated risk. That is to say, 10,000 Marks with a fifth forced to sell is 2,000 houses into a market clearing maybe 6,000 a year. So therefore the AI job shock is also a housing shock because the marginal buyer and the exposed worker are the same person. If Jack was to try and buy his parents' house at 4.5x two median salaries, it has to fall 22%. At the old 3x, it has to fall about 50%. My long held view on housing market repricing down accelerates beyond 10-30% (best to worst case) in this scenario.

There are other ways to protect your assets and yourself, and most of them are habits, not purchases. Be hard to reach: keep your home address off what you buy and what you publish. Be hard to drain: design access so that nobody, including you, can move everything on demand. Neither is a guarantee. Both change the odds a lot.
Finalement en crypto tu dois choisir entre Ledger, Trezor et SafePal qui vont leak tes données pour te faire kidnapper ou des exchanges qui se font hacker ton argent.

B HODL UPDATE @bitcoinhodlco | AQSE: $HODL | OTCQB: $BHODF | FRA: $F5S Bitcoin Corporate Day, London On Tuesday we took part in Bitcoin Corporate Day in London, a closed-door forum hosted by the @BTCPrague team, bringing together close to 300 senior decision-makers to discuss how Bitcoin actually fits inside a business: on the balance sheet, in payments and settlement, as collateral, and in productive treasury. It’s also worth noting who was in the room. A former Prime Minister and a former Chancellor both attended, as did a former Minister of State in the Cabinet Office. That is a marker of how quickly Bitcoin has moved from the margins into the mainstream of UK business and political thinking, and it is the environment in which B HODL is operating. London was the first stop on the Corporate Day international team tour, with high-quality panel discussions, a genuinely institutional audience, and a conversation that has clearly moved on from whether corporates should hold Bitcoin to how they hold it and what they build with it. I spoke on stage with @bencousens of Antidote, @RayOLightShow of Bitwise, and Charlie Erith of Wiston Capital, drilling down into the blockers and headwinds that are in the way of the Bitcoin industry in the UK, and considering what can be done about them. A perfect summary of what the day was actually about is from Sygnum Bank, shared in the thread. (h/t to @Matyas44Cook, @kucharmartin_ @adamthamesbtc and the entire team for a great achievement!) Antidote: Fireside the Night Before The evening before, Antidote opened their doors for Bitcoin Corporate Day drinks, with a fascinating fireside between our lead investor @adam3us and @jonathanbier . These events, whether formal or informal, are always filled with substantive conversations often in a small room of people who are building in this space, rather than presenting to it. Thanks to @AntidoteBTC for hosting, as ever! Follow-Up Meetings: Liquidity and Lightning The value of an event like Bitcoin Corporate Day is not only the day itself, but also and especially in everything that follows. We have spent the days since in follow-up meetings with existing and prospective counterparties across two themes: Liquidity. Constructive discussions on access to liquidity provided by our operating businesses, and on how counterparties are thinking about Bitcoin-denominated balance sheets going into next year. Lightning business - LSP and Routing Since launching our public Lightning infrastructure we have had a steady stream of inbound interest from businesses that want to connect to well-run nodes, buy inbound liquidity, or build payments on top of our capacity. This week sharpened the scope of that opportunity considerably: • Expansion of our node business — growing capacity and channel count to meet demand from businesses that need reliable inbound liquidity without running their own infrastructure. • Connections to our nodes — new counterparties looking to open channels directly with BHODL Public 01, possible both via clearnet and over Tor. • API and agent access — We use an API for our node (lightning.bhodl.com/docs/#ta…) so that businesses, developers and AI agents can provision liquidity programmatically without manual intervention. The takeaway from the week: there is real, paying demand for well-managed Lightning liquidity, and we are one of a small number of operators able to serve it institutionally. If you are building on Lightning and need reliable infrastructure, you can connect directly here: lightning.bhodl.com/ Lightning Infrastructure Growing Our public node, BHODL Public 01, continues to grow. We now hold 7.01 BTC of capacity across 56 channels, ranking us 103rd globally by capacity and 108th by channel count. Here’s looking ahead to breaking into the top 100!
Bitcoin Corporate Day in London today was excellent. High quality panel discussions and a very well attended event! The walls were even replete with musquets…Bitcoin is gunpowder! @BTCPrague @kwasi_stackbtc @trussliz @SteveBakerFRSA @btconlyscott @adam3us

This is really interesting (and a very nuanced legal point). What the court DID NOT say: It did not rule that Bitcoin is not property. It is (and the legislation makes that clear. See the Property (Digital Assets) Act 2025 linked in the thread). A court cannot overrule legislation. But remember – English law sees Bitcoin as INTANGIBLE property. The specific cause of action in this case was called the tort of conversion. This is a technical civil ‘wrong’, that happens when one person intentionally interferes with another person’s property in a way that completely deprives the owner of its use or possession. What happened in this case was that the seed phrase for the claimant’s @Trezor was accessed by his estranged wife, and she then swept his wallet. The tort of conversion MIGHT have enabled him to bring a claim against her for the lost property. The kicker? The tort of conversion ONLY applies where a tangible, physical asset is involved. The law may over time evolve to change this, but at the moment, other causes of action must be used to bring his claim, such as unjust enrichment and proprietary restitution. TLDR? The court did not say that Bitcoin wasn’t property. They said, correctly, that it is not PHYSICAL property, and that therefore the specific legal claim, and the specific legal remedy, sought by the complainant were not applicable in this case.
JUST IN: U.K. High Court says Bitcoin is NOT physical property — Oxford Law. • Wife allegedly stole 2,300 BTC from husband. • Victim recovery rights in limbo. • Main case continues under unjust enrichment

The government may not think you should say 'please' and 'thank you' to your AI, but my agent has assured me that in the coming purge, my good manners and consistent politeness to it will be what ensure my survival.
BREAKING: the UK government publishes official rules on how to use AI: 1. Ask first if you really need to use AI 2. Check if a spreadsheet can do the job before using AI 3. Choose the worst model possible so it uses less energy 4. Keep prompts short to reduce the environmental impact 5. In general, use AI only when necessary, as a climate-saving measure With a mindset like this, we should accept the UK back into the European Union

Give books to kids. Give AI tools to activists. Two best moves that improve the world.
Today I had the pleasure of judging another AI Hackathon for Freedom. Picking the top 3 Freedom Tech projects out of 10 was incredibly hard. I’m absolutely mind-blown by how dramatically AI is accelerating the development of powerful tools for freedom. In just 24 hours, we saw 10 fully working projects with the potential to reshape how people around the world fight censorship, repression, and authoritarianism. 🥇 First place went to Carine Kanimba with her project “Behind the Jersey.” 👏 @HRF @NEDemocracy
