2026/27 football season post! Turns out that the 25/26 campaign took in 58 matches across the Irish League and matches in Cyprus, Ibrox and Bergamo were a lot more enjoyable than Glenavons relegation. 💔 But at least we get to go different places this season, right? 🙃

A hugely frustrating performance that.

I think it’s fair to say that its probably past the right time for this to have happened but even the latest farce doesn’t detract from one of the greatest international careers. To give him credit, he always turned up for his country! Very fortunate to have seen him play live.

That’s an absolutely remarkable cup result there for the magnificent @ftfc tonight and richly deserved as well. A wee @NorthernIreland underage international smashing in the winner too. A bit of cup magic for the Cod Army.

What a shame he had to leave @SpursOfficial because the club was in such a mess to go and actually get the recognition that he deserves. Unquestionably the correct choice for the #BallonDor

A quite ridiculous game of cricket again in this very entertaining tri-series. How Pakistan managed to add 88 for the last wicket to win that was remarkable. Englands bowling leaving quite a lot to be desired again. #cricket #skycricket #triseries

Not only a poor decision based solely on performance, but appallingly managed by Lancashire as well. They seem to be a dreadfully run sports team at present.

I think the late Limavady equaliser might well be up there with as bad as anything I’ve ever seen on a pitch in proper football. Any DVDs coming out @prodnose. From about 3:20 or so! #irishleaguebehaviour

Thoroughly deserved too, the better team throughout and if we had a little more going forward it could have been more. Not sure how Palmer didn’t get a red from his first assault but justice done in the end. #coys

Got a spare General Admission ticket for tonight’s #northernirelandopen #snooker tonight at the @Waterfront_Hall. If anyone wants it just send me a message, no point it going to waste. @WeAreWST

Exceptionally tough viewing there. Hope that @WeAreWST and anyone else close can help @pistol147 get some help going forward. Maybe a freeze in rankings could be an option although sport isn’t everything. Wasn’t @rachelcasey11 fab as well. Good for her 🤝 #Snooker #niopen

Have to be honest, the majority of that was absolute torture. We are not a well balanced side and our defence + keeper dont give me any confidence at all. Great to see @Madders10 and #Kulusevski back on the field, fair play to them. Super goals from Maddison & Marmoush! #coys

Not a lot to write home about apart from a superb goal from Healy and lots of minutes for the youth players but slight concern about our strength in depth given how tough the Championship is. Fair play to Valley Rangers, they played rightly and pushed hard at it.

A game that we really ought to have won with some great chances squandered late on after Annagh inevitably went down to ten men but the deserved winner just wouldn’t come. Positives though, we survived the physical test that Annagh pose and hopefully came away with no injuries.

Looks like @PierceChar35004 is just doing Pierce Charles things again in front of the @SkyFootball cameras tonight. What an incredible double save!

Goodnight GAWA, from the only team in the Nations League 2026-27 not to concede a goal 👏 Thank you for all your continued support 💚🤍 #GAWA
