According to the Financial Times, the US ambassador to the EU has threatened severe economic consequences if Europe gives preference to its own satellite communications companies. At the same time, the US administration is restricting Starlink and Starshield services in Ukraine, even though European countries are paying for some of these services. It's a remarkably consistent policy: make your allies dependent on American technology, then threaten them economically when they try to reduce that dependence. The EU is already in a very difficult position. Its economy is struggling, and the Russian military threat is becoming increasingly real, with Russian drone attacks now reaching EU territorial waters. And instead of helping its European allies become stronger, Washington is threatening them for trying to become less dependent on it.

Complicity in Slaughter: Outrage Explodes as Reports Link Musk and Trump to Ukraine Drone Shield Crippling Demands are rapidly intensifying for Donald Trump and far-right disinformation propagandist Elon Musk to face international war crimes charges following a catastrophic disruption to Ukraine's frontline defenses. A devastating exposé by The Telegraph, citing four anonymous sources, reveals a shocking level of complicity: it was Elon Musk who personally approached Donald Trump with the proposal to throttle Starshield — the military-grade version of his Starlink satellite network. Trump reportedly agreed to the scheme. By deliberately crippling Ukraine's drone defense systems, this calculated move effectively disabled the country's shield against Russian aggression. The sabotage directly allowed Vladimir Putin's forces to rain lethal drone strikes down upon undefended cities, resulting in the brutal slaughter of innocent Ukrainian men, women, and children. Critics and legal experts argue that by actively interfering with military infrastructure to benefit an invading, authoritarian Apparatchik force, both figures have crossed the line from political interference into direct complicity in war crimes.

A cosa servono manipolazioni, menzogne e cherry picking?

Trump called his waiver of the new Russia sanctions “a very good decision… good for the country and the world.” We in Ukraine are still under Russian missile and drone attacks! Congress passed the Graham Act to cut off the money funding Russia’s war. Trump signed it, then gutted it days before it took effect, while cozying up to Moscow and giving them deals right before their winter terror campaign against our people. This rewards Putin, rewards aggression, and rewards Russian terrorism. It gives them more revenue right in the midst of one of the cruelest bombing campaigns against our cities. And even if “national interest” means cheaper fuel more than ending a war of aggression or supporting an ally fighting for its survival, these deals and waivers don’t achieve even that. It’s a betrayal for nothing. Ukrainians will pay the price. And so will American credibility. x.com/KerryPicket/status/211…

--- The decision to limit the use of Starlink/Starshield will destroy the U.S. military industry. Who will continue to buy modern weaponry from the U.S., knowing that it could be deactivated at any moment? After all, if they can do it with Starlink, they can do it with combat aircraft, missile systems, radar, and anything else that relies on network connectivity. Trump’s reckless choices—made to divert attention from his failed war in Iran—will cost America billions of dollars a year. This is a catastrophic, entirely avoidable strategic error, committed solely to indulge the fleeting whims of a president whose poll numbers are in freefall and who is desperately in need of salvaging his image following an endless series of poor decisions. Europe should take note and act accordingly.

This is truly a historic moment. President Trump has indefinitely suspended sanctions against Russia that would have been required in the Graham law. He went against the last request of Lindsey Graham, whom he called his friend. And he handed Putin the opportunity to finance the war against Ukrainians, who are fighting for their freedom. Trump calls this a "national interest." But diesel prices went up because of his war against Iran and the closure of the Strait of Hormuz. So waiving sanctions on Russia does not solve that problem. Instead, it creates another one. Putin cannot win on the battlefield, so he attacks civilians. Russian missiles and drones are destroying homes, hospitals, schools, and churches. According to the UN, just two weeks of October have been among the deadliest for civilians in Ukraine in recent years. Forty percent of Russia's budget goes to the war. After Trump's latest decisions, Russia will make record profits. The formula is simple: "Money turns into missiles. Missiles turn into civilian deaths." Trump is not stopping Russia's war against Ukraine. Trump is helping Putin win it. As a Nobel Peace Prize laureate, I want to address the people of America, regardless of their political views. Do you really believe that the killing of millions of people and the loss of Ukraine's independence are in your national interest? If not, what will you do to stop America from financing the genocide that Putin is waging against Ukrainians with Trump's support? #StandWithUkraine

🇪🇺🇺🇸 The disgrace is confirmed. Musk approached Trump with the idea of slowing down Starlink in Ukraine. These restrictions had already contributed to civilian deaths. Six people were killed in a Russian drone attack on Lutsk on 14 October. If these restrictions remain, Europe must impose sanctions on Musk’s businesses operating in Europe. Europe must urgently end its dependence on Starlink. telegraph.co.uk/world-news/2…

Imagine if Europe, in the days after 9/11, had cleared its throat and announced: We have struck a tremendous deal with Osama bin Laden. We have lifted the sanctions on his organization, so he is now free to trade on the open market and bankroll his war against the United States. Bush must step down. The man has no cards. Has he even looked at his hand? But no. Europe did nothing of the sort. Europe did not sit down with a mass murderer and come home gushing about what a strong and reasonable fellow he turned out to be. Europe laced up its boots, flew to Afghanistan, stood shoulder to shoulder with the Americans and hunted that bearded wretch through every godforsaken mountain in the country, because that is what you do when a friend gets hit, and handing the attacker a shopping list while telling the victim to surrender is what you do when you have lost your mind.

The timing of Trump's full betrayal is honestly baffling. He knows the midterms are going to be very difficult for his party and that most Americans support Ukraine. The logical thing to do to boost his standing would be to increase his support for Ukraine. Instead, he does the exact opposite. He restricts Starshield/Starlink, crippling Ukraine’s ability to defend itself, strikes a diesel deal with Russia, grants Russia a sanctions waiver, and his rhetoric on Ukraine turns unhinged. Why? It’s almost as if someone in the Kremlin called and told him to use his power to the fullest to help Russia while he still can. I know this sounds, but what else could it be?
