This is Assemblymember & Asm. Speaker Pro Tem @JoshLowenthal outside our Save Girls Sports press conference in February. Multiple high school girls there told us he flipped off the press conference. I called it out publicly along with one of his bills. In April, right before I testified against one of his bills, he pulled me out of the committee room for a 1 on 1 hallway chat. Felt less like an honest conversation and more like intimidation. His message to me was to stop exposing him on social media. His claim to me was he hasn't even taken a position on girls' sports. Really? I think this video from Feb. is a position. He calls a press conference full of girls affected by males in their sports & spaces "hateful." He said there's "no appetite" at the Capitol to protect girls' sports and bathrooms. That IS a position. Pull me into the hallway all you want. I'm not getting quieter. He has daughters. I thank God my dad would do anything to protect me. California girls deserve lawmakers who will do the same. & also if you are an elected official and do good things I will celebrate it publicly, if you do bad things, I will make sure Californians know. Truth deserves to be known.
