They are: → Ahmadin Ahmadzai → Jamil Khalili → Fazal Auryakhel → Qais Kaker → Mohammed Farooq Shinwary → Ali Ahamad → Sayed Wahid Davodzai → Bilal Shinwari Alldeny charges including rape, conspiracy to rape and facilitating human trafficking. Seven had been granted refugee status after entering the UK via small boats, a lorry or an attempted clandestine ferry crossing. The eighth, Bilal Shinwari, was an asylum seeker who was arrested in Ireland and returned to the UK in July 2026. All eight have pleaded not guilty and been remanded in custody. Their trial, originally scheduled for January 2027 in Norwich, is now expected at Southwark Crown Court no earlier than 4 May 2027, with no confirmed start date.
