everyone's nowadays: here i render 7 million grass blades; 200 million leaves; 3m times my face or whatever in three.js... as if pure generation and rendering ever was the problem. 60fps isn't particularly impressive by itself when it's just the thing you benchmark. if an proper optimized version could run at 200fps, those missing 140fps are the budget the actual scene could've used. that's the interesting part to me, and most of these demos completely ignore it.
