Benito Santiago could throw runners out without even standing up.
The kneeling throw became his signature, and he backed the flash up with Rookie of the Year in 1987 and three straight Gold Gloves from 1988 through 1990.
Catchers normally use the legs to create power and quickness. Santiago could stay on his knees and still put the ball where it needed to go.
