Part of me loves this tech. Another part of me looks at all the suffering that technology should alleviate — 35 mil below poverty line, 28 million without healthcare access, 1.3 mil abortions a year, almost a million homeless, and so on — and it seems so hollow.

imagine if the billions spent on tickets to Taylor Swift concerts had been instead used to provide healthcare to the destitute.. what a better world it would be! How come that's never the comparison?
