Unlocking the power of decentralized, community funding with Gitcoin
In December,
@Gitcoin joined the Polygon Village community to carry out the first Gitcoin Grants round on Polygon PoS. This was formalized with the GG19 Infra, in which 28 projects participated and received donations from 14,406 unique donors.
Financial support is an important component of the growth process of many projects, therefore it’s essential to identify the best resource allocation strategies. Gitcoin has been one of the most innovative players in this field for years, with the development of its own protocol, Quadratic Funding and Gitcoin’s Grants Stack, a decentralized permissionless platform for carrying out grant rounds, now deployed on Polygon Pos and available at anyone who wants to run a quadratic funding grant campaign.
The collaboration between Gitcoin and Polygon Labs continues with Village “Infra on Polygon#1” grant round, in which 25 projects participate, with a matching fund amounting to 130,000 MATIC.
Participating web3 startups will post their proposals between January 8th and 13th. Between January 15th and 24th, the community will be able to evaluate their proposals and make donations to the most deserving projects – unlocking the power of decentralized, community funding.
