Mega boost Pay for good software
We lost our way with modern cameras. They fooled us into believing that a good photo is one captured at the highest resolution, in sharp focus, evenly exposed, denoised, & cleaned up. Yet many of our favorite photos are messy, blurry, accidental. Forget all the technical nonsense—the best photo is the one that makes you feel something. The camera was once a creative tool, not just a way to document the moments in our lives but a way to discover them. Don't forget to play.

i couldn't be more excited for this because there is NOTHING i hate more than having to switch back and forth between my email app and my calendar app to do some dumb ass data entry some AI could do for me

Ellis has a truly special way of bringing out & articulating your own truth. Had a such great time collaborating on this @hamburger 🙌
For so many of us, the hardest part isn't getting it done... It's getting it started. Meet Sol: the AI that finds what you committed to in Gmail, and kicks it off for you — gathering context, checking for the latest info, and doing a first draft. A blast to work with @_anishkaran @RanjithNair7 and the rest of the Sol team.

I hate it as a consumer but it is the right move for Amazon. Agents want to replace the storefront and level the playing field, but Amazon is big enough to say no. Owning the customer relationship matters even more than logistics imo. Will be interesting to see it play out.

What would be even better: “It’s not effective, because…” “It feels off to me, because….” “Our customers aren’t likely to get this, because….” The Silicon Valley cult of bluntness only serves to create cultures of fear, because everything is subjective (like “awful,” at a glance)
first week of working at apple, i designed something and asked my co-worker what he thought. he said "it's awful" and then told me exactly why.

You could even call it “Design” ! Helping users through your product and what it offers, vs offering a blank text box or canvas to do something with
Jay is right. The recent success of Instinct, Muse, Grok Bot is the product of a UX innovation, specifically abstracting the technical and manual setup of computer use agents away from non technical users. But the innovation cycle is far from over. I expect products will quickly evolve past basic messaging experiences given the UX challenges these introduce (discovery challenges, threading mess, lack of dynamic UI, etc). I expect we’ll see some incredible new product building blocks emerge over the next year.

Obvious in hindsight prefect ux
Replying to @micsolana
I kinda think he’d be obsessed with how we have insane AI technology but all the products are like Microsoft level bloat and nobody is willing to just do an ayahuasca retreat and come back with the obvious-in-hindsight prefect UX for AI.

Soon we will collectively realize that half the point of art is to be more expressive than reality allows and there’s no real point in this, beyond inflating egos
Not into video games but ...MY GOD THESE GRAPHICS ARE INSANE 😲🔥💯

Just realized how weird the web is going to look on the iPhone Duo 🤔 Are there web standards these days that help with the horizontal safe areas?

PSA the design authorities have informed me that the ChatGPT diagram i (regrettably) tweeted is wrong or at the very least very weird 🥵 If anyone wants to make a real one I’d be interested to see! for better or worse tho the fundamental argument is still the same? (given modern phones are far closer to 16:9 — the format of most content people watch on phones — than the duo ..?)
