hello. it might be the space i want to make money from but not the one i want to waste my time to build stuff in
Crypto trading is starting to look a lot more like gaming
The chains are becoming the consoles. Bonding curves, launch mechanics are game modes/engine. The tokens are the games, each with own mechanics and lifecycle.
Trading apps are becoming the app store layer that aggregates all of this. They control discovery, distribution, rankings, UX and the social layer around all of the markets.
Liquidity is effectively the players and attention is gaming playtime.
And because crypto liquidity has almost no switching costs, users/capital can move from one game or token to another almost instantly. And the good games become cults similar to tokens e.g Pepe, doge etc
There’s likely an equilibrium between customer happiness, trading attention, liquidity and product velocity. As soon as bonding curve providers stop giving users new reasons to stay, attention + liquidity follows, and moat can disappear very quickly.
The speed of crypto product iteration will mirror attention and liquidity rotation
