Any sufficiently useful new technology deals with scams Phone calls, text messages, email, websites, social media etc - all rife with scam content, no filtering system is perfect No one argues it’s the fault of the core underlying protocols like smtp and https

Isn’t that like saying the person poisoning the water supply isn’t the problem, it’s the pipes?

Mmmmm. I see people arguing about SMS 2FA safety all the time. And everyone moved from HTTP to HTTPS because the protocol wasn't secure.

SMTP didn't require authentication, and open relays made bulk spam cheap.

This lays down on a basic principle - technology is a an instrument in hands of users, with good or harmful intentions either, it’s their decision.

Yes, this is all normal, so verification is really important! Examples are also crucial to make the market understand!

Yes, every new tech deals with scams. But let's not be blind: crypto and AI are opening uncharted territories. Governments and companies need to act fast. Talk is cheap, upgrading security systems is important. See Revolut lately they should have been using cryptography, ZK tech, etc I hope politicians and companies upgrade the infrastructure fast rather than delivering long tirades that don't change people's security and sovereignty.

v3 def had better devEx. and seemingly ux given the routing issues. skill issue? sure. but as a developer platform, this is the one time where you probably *want* to midcurve it

The protocol isn't the problem just because people figured out how to abuse the thing built on top of it.

You could use AI to analizer to fasttrack hook safety cause getting a hook supported takes ages or insidoor frens at Uniswap.... Plis can u be mi fren?

The application layer where discovery and trust still rely on the same weak signals that scammers exploit better reputation and verification tools sit on top of the open rails the scam surface shrinks without needing to break the protocol itself
