A malicious user has likely gained access to Swiss Bitcoin Pay’s internal systems. As a precaution, we are temporarily shutting down our servers while we investigate and secure our infrastructure.
At this stage, we believe they may have accessed customer email addresses, Bitcoin addresses and IBANs, transaction history, and hashed passwords. It is not yet clear whether any other information was accessed.
User funds are safe, and any amounts owed to users will be fully returned.
We do not have a reopening date yet, but we are working as quickly as possible to secure everything properly.
We’ll be back stronger!

LIQUID NETWORK DASHBOARD CONFIRMS 4000 BTC DRAIN
@btcinsider__ reports hackers appear to have tricked Liquid’s functionaries into approving a transaction that looked valid to their systems but authorized a peg-out of roughly 3,998 BTC to the Bitcoin network.
In other words, the hackers created a transaction that passed Liquid’s checks, causing the functionaries’ security hardware to sign off on the withdrawal.
The hackers claim to be whitehats.
