Second quick update from HiveBits.
On Monday we met Miloš from Krajina Agriculture Cluster. They work between farmers and the government. He told us part of the money for containers and beehives can come back through state support.
Yesterday we took our builder to our existing container. He measured it, and now we wait for his offer for the new ones.

Beekeeping is seasonal. In spring we prepare the hives, in summer we harvest, and in autumn we get the bees ready for the winter.
So we have the whole winter to prepare everything. 🐝

"Sometimes people get a bit confused about what's happening. Originally I'm from Bosnia, I was born and grew up there, and my co-founder is also from Bosnia. In Bosnia we already have the bees. My co-founder runs around 200 beehives by himself already."
"These are going to be there because we have land, we have human resources, we have properties where we can do all these big operations. So everything is there already."
"On the other side, I'm living in Serbia, in Fruška Gora National Park. I run an apitherapy center, and in the apitherapy center I do healing and prevention with bees and bee products. So I heal people with the bee, even with bee venom. We sting people."
"This apitherapy center is also our research and development center. So right now I'm going to be in rotation between Bosnia and Serbia, two or three weeks there, two or three weeks here, depending on where I need to be."

"When we started the whole idea, the first thing was how we can be transparent, and how we can let the community participate, be part of this whole process. I believe other agriculture branches who want to do similar things need to solve that issue."
"In the beekeeping industry people already use different kinds of hardware to measure how much honey they will produce, hive health, all of this. So we decided this is a good start, and we used some existing concepts and upgraded them a bit on our side. We moved it to the next generation."
"People always ask what we're tokenizing. Practically we tokenize the whole operation, but in general what we're tokenizing is the beehive, one by one. And why is that interesting? Because a beehive is alive, and it produces every year. Honey, propolis, even bee venom. It also produces other bees, and there's a market for that, where you can catch the swarm and sell it to other beekeepers."
"All of these details, how much honey we're going to produce, is the harvest going well or not, we can get through this information. The main goal for us is to optimize the current work we have, because approximately one full-time beekeeper can manage 300 beehives, and with this hardware we can go up to 500."
