"What do people really think about ___?" Is that hyped new wine bar in the Mission actually any good? Why is everyone leaving that one AI lab for the other one? Everyone holds a fragment of the truth. @hivemind is a social AI that has 1:1 conversations with many people simultaneously to piece together the whole truth at a resolution no single person can. Since our beta kicked off this year, Hivemind has orchestrated first dates between strangers, tracked down a famously hard-to-find bottle of riesling, and heard things before they became public headlines. Now, we're growing and hiring our founding engineer. Social intelligence is a frontier problem across product, engineering, and research, and it compounds as we scale from hundreds of users to hundreds of thousands and beyond. If you enjoy thinking from first principles to build things without precedent, I think you're going to have fun building this with us ;) As a founding engineer, you'll join an elite team of design and research talent from Apple and Midjourney to own the technical infrastructure: the context management, model orchestration, and continuous-learning harnesses that let one AI reason and act across a fractal network of relationships. You'll also help shape product direction and co-author original research in social + collective intelligence. We're backed by First Round Capital, with angels including @biz, @eshp, @AriX, @soleio and others. We will work together in person within our San Francisco gallery/studio. We're looking for: - Someone who writes excellent code and would rather own a large, ambiguous problem end to end than execute someone else's spec. - Someone who's shipped and scaled reliable systems, with production experience in distributed systems or AI infra. - Someone who's shipped social products at scale, who can't help but think in network effects. - And most of all... someone who wants what they build to matter.
