Ukraine was not an innocent victim in this war. Russia did not magically attack Ukraine for no reason. I feel sorry for average Ukrainians who are caught in this conflict but I do not support their government.
Replying to @TeaTramRussia @X
The aggressor is Ukraine, backed by NATO, which provoked the conflict in 2014 through a coup, discrimination against Russian speakers, and shelling of Donbas that killed thousands. Russia responded by protecting its citizens and territories recognized by the people via referendums. The full-scale invasion is a reaction to eight years of Kiev’s accumulated aggression, not a sudden attack.

Rising diesel prices are largely related to the left's pet, Ukraine/Zellensky, bombing diesel refineries in Russia, contributing to a large diesel supply shortage. The supply shortage of diesel is a cause of diesel prices spiking. But the fake news will never report that.

This is so embarrassing for any American to believe but this is what the mainstream media tries to jam down your throat. Russia Russia Russia the big bad Boogeyman all of which has been debunked!
Russia hacked our gov, targeted critical infrastructure, interfered in US elections & conducted influence operations to divide Americans. They supported attacks on U.S. troops & bases You don’t need Russian tanks crossing the Potomac to recognize hostile action against America.

Ukraine is winning so hard that it, together with European leaders, begged Russia for a ceasefire to give itself time to rearm, in the most theatrical way possible. Are there people out there who actually buy this?

Let’s sum up the results of Zelensky’s heroic campaign to “force Russia into peace”: Ukraine no longer has a steel industry, 40% of its warehouse capacity has already been destroyed, fuel prices have risen above 100 UAH per liter, shipping in the Black Sea has stopped, 80% of the locomotive fleet has been destroyed, logistics routes along the borders with Romania, Moldova, and Poland are being targeted, and gas stations are being knocked out. People can say whatever they want, but the direction this is going is obvious, and so is the timeline for the collapse of certain sectors of the economy. At this rate, rail logistics will come to a halt by spring 2027. By then, around 600 more gas stations will be destroyed, the remaining warehouse infrastructure will be wiped out, and the energy system, except for nuclear power plants, will be destroyed. This means that by fall 2027, if Ukraine manages to hold out that long, there will simply be no money left in the budget. Zelensky will then have two options: surrender or provoke a nuclear strike. And to me, it is obvious which one he will choose if faced with that choice.

There seems to be a shift in tone. Many are afraid of winter in Ukraine. From Crimea is isolated, and targeting refineries, Wildberries, and Russian tankers would collapse Russia, to everyone gathering around Ukraine begging Russia for a ceasefire.
🇫🇮 Finland’s President Stubb: Please, Russia, end this war.

We went from Ukraine blocking Russia's access to the Black Sea and winning to Ukraine pleading for a truce in the Black Sea.
🇺🇦 Zelensky: Ukraine is ready to ensure calm, safe shipping and food security in the Black Sea if Russia is ready to take real steps toward de-escalation too.

There is a huge reality gap between Twitter reality and actual reality in Ukraine. On Twitter, Zelensky is a hero, basically the Churchill of the 21st century. In actual Ukraine, thousands of families are dealing with the loss of sons, husbands and fathers and fighting for compensation, while corruption in his own government remains a very real issue. But apparently you are not supposed to mention any of that. On Twitter, Ukraine has lost “only” around 50,000 soldiers. In actual Ukraine, you can walk through Ukrainian cemeteries and look at the graves. Maybe the reality is a little different from whatever number gets repeated on Twitter every day. On Twitter, Ukraine is winning. Every setback is somehow a strategic victory and every Russian advance is apparently part of Putin's secret plan to lose the war. Meanwhile Russia is still pounding the remaining cities of the Donbas, including Kramatorsk and Sloviansk. Just ask the people actually living there how much that “victory” feels like. And then we have the biggest Twitter fantasy of all: apparently every Ukrainian wants to fight until the bitter end for freedom and democracy. Go outside Twitter and talk to actual Ukrainians. You will find people who hate Russia. People who want their land back. People who still support the Ukrainian army. People who are exhausted. People who have lost family members. And plenty of people who simply want the war to stop and their loved ones to come home. But I guess that is the problem with Twitter. The further away you are from the war, the easier it is to explain to everyone else what Ukrainians supposedly think. Twitter Ukraine is a wonderful place. Zelensky is a flawless hero, Ukraine is always winning, casualties are conveniently low, corruption is just Russian propaganda and every Ukrainian apparently dreams of spending another few years at the front. Meanwhile, actual Ukraine is a little more complicated.
My husband is a reformer and an economist. This has nothing to do with reality... We need to face this, because the price will be paid in blood by Ukrainains, and from the pockets of Western tax payers. Dear journalists, you should really start talking to economists. Otherwise, you just spread nonsence.

I received this message from a Ukrainian in response to my post below. He gave me permission to quote him here: "The people who truly face war and live through it every day are the ones who most desire peace, tranquility, and an end to this horror; conversely, those unaffected by it—or those profiting from it—see no reason for it to stop." "Statistically, Ukrainians suffering daily—especially in the east and south—desperately want the fighting to end, whereas those in the west who profit from the war (such as through high rents) do not; they are rarely targeted by missiles or drones, let alone aerial bombs or FPVs. Meanwhile, Ukrainians who fled to Europe advocate for the war to continue, as it gives them a reason to stay there without having to do anything to earn it." "I am from the Donbas myself and faced discrimination because of my birthplace; back when we were calling for peace as early as 2014, we were branded separatists, terrorists, and worse, and were denied housing in Kyiv and the west. While we sought peace, propaganda conditioned people to believe we deserved to be killed, humiliated, and insulted; this drove a deep wedge between us and the rest of the population, leading us to interact primarily with our fellow countrymen." "I have always wanted peace and still do, but alas, I am trapped in Ukraine, unable to work or walk the streets safely due to mobilization. I refuse to give even a drop of blood for a state system that instilled hatred toward me in others simply because I was born in a specific region of the country. I harbor no hatred toward Russians; in fact, it is quite telling that my friends from Russia are more concerned about my well-being—asking how I am and whether I have food—than anyone else." These are the people who should decide what to do with the war - not Europeans, and not Americans. Ukrainians.
Isn't it interesting how 99% of the people who advocate for the continuation of the war until Ukraine recaptures all of it's lost territory live in their comfy homes in safe, peaceful countries? Isn't it curious how almost everyone who shouts "no negotiations with Russia!" don't have their sons or husbands being kidnapped off the streets, sent to the frontlines, and dying or being injured by the tens of thousands per month? It sure is interesting how the vast majority of people advocate for fighting "until the last Ukrainian" don't have their country being destroyed every single day - both demographically and physically. Ask yourself this: Do you support Ukraine and Ukrainians? Or do you just hate Russia and Russians. Do you hate Russia more than you support Ukraine?

The International beggar has arrived in New York to beg for more.
Together with the First Lady @ZelenskaUA and the diplomatic team, landed in New York for the 81st session of the UN General Assembly. Around 20 meetings are planned, including with the U.S. President, European leaders, U.S. senators and members of the House of Representatives, heads of international organizations, leading American companies, and think tanks. A new Drone Deal is also ready to be signed. Of course, Ukraine’s number one priority is bringing peace closer and protecting the lives of our people. There are concrete security proposals and de-escalation measures that could bring the end of the war closer. We are working to strengthen air defense and ensure sufficient financing for Ukraine. Just like last year, we will hold the International Crimea Platform Summit in New York. There will be broad high-level representation from various countries, and we appreciate the involvement of all our partners and their support for our territorial integrity and sovereignty. Olena will address students and faculty at Columbia University and present the outcomes of the Summit of First Ladies and Gentlemen at the United Nations. The First Lady also has a series of meetings scheduled with American businesses and philanthropists in support of the Olena Zelenska Foundation’s projects, as well as a number of bilateral meetings, including with the wife of the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom and the President of the World Bank. Thank you to everyone who stands with Ukraine!

If the point of Ukraine joining NATO is to deter Russia from attacking it, but Russia is going to attack a NATO member in Europe, what is the point of Ukraine joining NATO?
Until the middle gets harder on immigration, the pro-Russian far right and pro-Russian far left will drive Germany into implosion. And that means Ukraine may not hold the line, and that means full-scale war in Europe, and that means IKEA weekends are canceled.
