After watching some college practices and HS camps the past month, I'd like to mention something to HS players and parents...
College coaches watch college kids play all of the time. Their own players, film on other teams and players, etc.
Then they show up to watch you play...
Do you present like a college player on the court when they show up?
Meaning, does your body look like it can handle playing as an 18-19 year old at the level where you think you can play?
If you live in Utah and you're not sure, go watch SLCC, Snow, or USUE play. Catch a Westminster game or practice. Then be brutally honest with yourself
Are you able to withstand multiple defensive possessions at that level?
Could you handle the physicality of guarding your current position?
If not, that's great! Get serious about your diet, conditioning, and weight training.
College basketball is filled with grown a** men, you're not competing against teenagers barely out of puberty any longer
