By organising a political event on November 1, Congress has shown utter contempt for history. November 1 marks one of the darkest chapters of 1984, a day etched in blood and scarred by irreparable trauma for the Sikh community, when homes were burnt and thousands of lives were shattered.
For decades, Congress delayed justice for Sikhs. To now exploit this painful anniversary for petty politics and peddle its hollow narratives around 'SIR' and 'Vote Chori' is not just insensitive; it is an insult to every victim.

ਨਾ ਤਾਂ ਫ਼ਰਾਂਸ ਦੀ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਕੋਈ ਸੱਦਾ ਆਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਹੀ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰਤ ਮਨਜ਼ੂਰੀ ਦੀ ਪੁਸ਼ਟੀ ਹੋਈ। ਪਰ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਦੀ ਸਫ਼ਾਈ ਤਾਂ ਹੋਰ ਵੀ ਹੈਰਾਨ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ “ਮੇਰਾ ਜਨਮਦਿਨ ਹੈ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪੈਰਿਸ ਤਾਂ ਜਾਣਾ ਹੀ ਹੈ।"
ਜਦੋਂ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਲੋੜ ਸੀ, ਜਦੋਂ ਮਾਨਸਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁੱਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਆ ਕੇ ਉੱਜੜ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰਾ ਸੂਬਾ ਦਹਿਸ਼ਤ ਦੇ ਮਾਹੌਲ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਲੰਘ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਉਦੋਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਖੜ੍ਹਨ ਦੀ ਬਜਾਏ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਸ਼ਨ ਮਨਾਉਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੁੱਝੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ।

MHA has sought report on murder of anti-drug activist Parvinder Singh Jhota
Ministry of Home Affairs today sought a comprehensive factual report regarding the killing of Parwinder Singh alias Jhota on October 13, 2026 in Punjab's Mansa, reportedly a crusader against rampart sale and abuse of narcotics and psychotropic drugs in Punjab. Punjab government is also requested to furnish action taken by it in strategic priorities and action points for achieving the national objective of a drug-free India and calls for a sustained action by all stakeholders. It includes the restructuring and setting up a dedicated ANTF, mandatory financial investigation, outcome-oriented NCORD reviews, strengthening Prosecution and NDPS Courts designation of Nodal Officers, action against Transnational Drug Networks and other measures.

पंजाब आज नशे, गैंगस्टरवाद व संगठित अपराध के बढ़ते खतरे से जूझ रहा है। भगवंत मान सरकार के सामने सबसे बड़ा सवाल है कि आखिर पंजाब की जनता की सुरक्षा की जिम्मेदारी कौन निभाएगा?
दिरबा में एक पिता का दबाव में जहर खा लेना और मानसा में नशे के खिलाफ आवाज उठाने वाले परविंदर सिंह झोटा की दिनदहाड़े हत्या ने पंजाब की कानून-व्यवस्था पर गंभीर सवाल खड़े कर दिए हैं। परविंदर के पिता ने AAP सरकार और उनके विधायक पर गंभीर आरोप लगाए हैं। गृह मंत्रालय भी इन दोनों घटनाओं पर पंजाब सरकार से जवाब माँगेगा।
पंजाब में नशे का कारोबार फल-फूल रहा है, संगठित अपराध का खतरा बढ़ रहा है और नशे के खिलाफ आवाज उठाने वालों की सुरक्षा पर सवाल खड़े हो रहे हैं।
भगवंत मान जी, पंजाब की जनता को प्रचार नहीं, जवाब, घोषणाएँ नहीं, परिणाम, नशे के नेटवर्क पर निर्णायक प्रहार और अपराधियों को मिलने वाले किसी भी राजनीतिक संरक्षण की निष्पक्ष जाँच चाहिए।
मैं आज पंजाब की जनता के सामने अपना संकल्प दोहराता हूँ कि पंजाब में हमारी सरकार बनने पर हम नशामुक्त, गैंगस्टरमुक्त और सुरक्षित पंजाब बनाने के लिए पूरी ताकत से काम करेंगे। हमारा लक्ष्य स्पष्ट है - नशे के कारोबार पर प्रहार, युवाओं के भविष्य की रक्षा, अपराधियों पर कठोर कार्रवाई और कानून का ऐसा राज, जिसमें कोई भी नागरिक भय के साये में जीने को मजबूर न हो।

ਦਿੜਬਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਪਿਤਾ ਦਾ ਦਬਾਅ ਵਿੱਚ ਜ਼ਹਿਰ ਖਾ ਲੈਣਾ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਨਸਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਸ਼ੇ ਖ਼ਿਲਾਫ਼ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਚੁੱਕਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਪਰਵਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਝੋਟਾ ਦੀ ਦਿਨ-ਦਹਾੜੇ ਹੱਤਿਆ ਨੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀ ਕਾਨੂੰਨ-ਵਿਵਸਥਾ 'ਤੇ ਗੰਭੀਰ ਸਵਾਲ ਖੜ੍ਹੇ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹਨ। ਪਰਵਿੰਦਰ ਦੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਨੇ 'ਆਪ' ਸਰਕਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਧਾਇਕ 'ਤੇ ਗੰਭੀਰ ਦੋਸ਼ ਲਗਾਏ ਹਨ। ਗ੍ਰਹਿ ਮੰਤਰਾਲਾ ਵੀ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੋਵਾਂ ਘਟਨਾਵਾਂ 'ਤੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਤੋਂ ਜਵਾਬ ਮੰਗੇਗਾ।
ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਸ਼ੇ ਦਾ ਕਾਰੋਬਾਰ ਦਿਨੋਂ-ਦਿਨ ਵਧ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਸੰਗਠਿਤ ਅਪਰਾਧ ਦਾ ਖ਼ਤਰਾ ਵਧ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਨਸ਼ੇ ਖ਼ਿਲਾਫ਼ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਚੁੱਕਣ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ 'ਤੇ ਸਵਾਲ ਖੜ੍ਹੇ ਹੋ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।
ਭਗਵੰਤ ਮਾਨ ਜੀ, ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀ ਜਨਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਚਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ, ਜਵਾਬ, ਐਲਾਨ ਨਹੀਂ, ਨਤੀਜੇ, ਨਸ਼ੇ ਦੇ ਨੈੱਟਵਰਕ 'ਤੇ ਨਿਰਣਾਇਕ ਪ੍ਰਹਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਅਪਰਾਧੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਰਾਜਨੀਤਿਕ ਸਰਪ੍ਰਸਤੀ ਦੀ ਨਿਰਪੱਖ ਜਾਂਚ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਮੈਂ ਅੱਜ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀ ਜਨਤਾ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਸੰਕਲਪ ਦੁਹਰਾਉਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਾਡੀ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਬਣਨ 'ਤੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਨਸ਼ਾਮੁਕਤ, ਗੈਂਗਸਟਰਮੁਕਤ ਅਤੇ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਅਤ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਾਕਤ ਨਾਲ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਾਂਗੇ।
ਸਾਡਾ ਟੀਚਾ ਸਪੱਸ਼ਟ ਹੈ - ਨਸ਼ੇ ਦੇ ਕਾਰੋਬਾਰ 'ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਹਾਰ, ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਦੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ, ਅਪਰਾਧੀਆਂ 'ਤੇ ਸਖ਼ਤ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਨੂੰਨ ਦਾ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਰਾਜ, ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਨਾਗਰਿਕ ਡਰ ਦੇ ਸਾਏ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਿਊਣ ਲਈ ਮਜਬੂਰ ਨਾ ਹੋਵੇ।

For AAP and Cong SIR is welcome in Punjab, but the same thing not acceptable in other parts of Country. This shows their protest is only for political gain and for that they can disturb the peace in country.
