What AI Stack Are People Using For Crypto?

The way people invest, build, and operate in crypto has changed more in the last twelve months than in the previous four years. Most of that change traces back to one variable: AI.

Some people are running multi-agent research desks from their couch. Others are still copy-pasting charts into group chats. Most are somewhere in between, using AI daily but with a nagging feeling they're only scratching the surface.

People who work side by side, trade/invest in the same tokens, and talk every day have wildly different setups.

We wanted to see what that range actually looks like. So we asked ten traders, builders, capital allocators, and content creators one question: what's your AI stack right now?

  1. A one-man research desk - @KSimback

"My eureka moment with AI for investing was when I realized I could deploy multiple agents, each with their own specialty and personality, to work together to research, analyze and produce actionable investment insights. This starts with specific SOUL.md files for each agent. For example, I have a crypto analyst "Cipher" who is plugged into all the onchain data sources, but gets context from "Marco," my macro strategist who looks at liquidity cycle indicators and broader market signals to help define risk on/off appetite.

Each one works great independently, but when they talk to each other and share context, it becomes quite powerful. Then all the insights roll up to a portfolio manager agent who brings me trade ideas and recommends actions."

2. Five people, institutional-scale deal flow - @maxyamp

"I run a capital formation and asset management business in DeFi. My AI use is less "trading" and more "how do I run an operation that's placed 9-10 figure capital with a tiny team."

Claude is the primary tool right now. It's embedded in basically everything: due diligence, investment memos, prepping for negotiations, stress-testing terms, building counterparty briefs. It's like having a head of research that never sleeps and doesn't have an ego. I probably spend 2-3 hours a day working with it across strategy, comms, and deal flow.

What's overhyped: AI trading agents. Most of them are backtested fiction. What's underhyped: AI as operational leverage for small teams doing actual commercial work in crypto. We're five people running institutional-scale deal flow, and that math only works because of AI throughput.

Non-negotiable: never let it send a message or finalize a number without a human reviewing it. The relationships and the judgment are still yours."

3. A personal quant - @Aabbhhz

"I basically use AI as my personal quant for research when it comes to trading and investing, and it's mainly through tools like Grok and Claude.

Grok essentially helps me surface key news, sentiment, and data and active commentary around specific companies through X, and Claude Cowork simultaneously breaks down dense reports and earnings into clear, actionable insights presented through slides or docs.

Collectively both tools make it easier to track narratives, monitor reactions in real time, and identify key information that could potentially influence an investment."

4. Vibes-based analysis - @benroy

"I'm less of a trader and more of a friendly neighborhood market participant who speculates on magic internet coins from time to time. The main way I use AI in that process is to check social media sentiment. It's useful to see how visible a coin is in the zeitgeist and how people feel about it, and while those are squishy things, you can figure out a decent amount about positioning that way. How many people own this coin, who doesn't yet, and who might buy it in the future if narratives change.

And that's it really. I don't use agents for trading currently, but a future use case I'd like to see is complex conditionals in an easy-to-use interface where I could load up some funds and have them managed by an agent such that I could buy or sell a coin if and when a few different conditions of my choosing are met. This would be a way to express slightly more complicated bets and do that without needing to babysit markets all day. We'll see if something like that comes around, but until then, yeah, I just use LLMs in crypto for vibenomical reasons. They play that game well."

5. Co-pilot, not autopilot - @0xjawor

"Before @get_truenorth , my trading ran on vibes, narrative, and speculation. I was decent at reading the room but had real technical blind spots.

What actually worked was having TrueNorth's AI auto-chart all my setups and watchlists in one place. Instead of jumping between five different tabs and losing track, the AI surfaces the technical analysis I was missing: support/resistance levels, multi-timeframe confluence, derivatives data, all generated automatically.

It filled the gap I didn't know how to fill on my own. Same trader, just with the technical side I was blind to. Now I'm building that out across commodities and soon RWA assets.

The whole "AI calls the trade" thing? Overhyped. It's a co-pilot, not an autopilot."

6. A full fund OS, held together with duct tape - @insider0x

"I built an AI operating system for my fund. The foundation is two files: a 250-line master context document with the full company DNA, and a CLAUDE.md that loads automatically every session with who I am, how the fund works, internal jargon, and instructions about how my brain works. I have ADHD tendencies, I procrastinate on big ambiguous tasks, so I literally wrote instructions telling Claude to break things into small steps and notice when I'm yak-shaving. Yes, I taught my AI how to manage me. And it works.

Everything runs through connected Notion databases: research, CRM, deal flow, meeting notes, all linked so Claude can traverse the whole graph. My daily /briefing scans nine sources simultaneously and synthesizes into one prioritized output. After a call, I say "update the CRM" and Claude pulls the transcript, extracts key info, creates follow-ups, links everything.

Let me be real: it's duct tape. The briefing sometimes surfaces garbage. Claude occasionally invents a database field that doesn't exist. But it's dramatically better than doing everything manually."

7. One tool, no distractions - @0xWenMoon

"I use Claude Code basically exclusively now. I've tried a bunch of setups but I think OpenClaw doesn't work as well comparatively anymore for actual building, which is what I'm focused on, vs simple automation, which is overhyped. Ideally though I want to run my own model. For an actual working stack nothing beats Claude Code with the latest upgrades or whatever else you wanna add in your workflows, like Obsidian."

8. One upload, one review pass - @sanjaybuilds_

"We drop a podcast episode every week and I've built a full pipeline where I literally just upload the raw audio file and Claude handles the rest. It transcribes the episode, generates thumbnail prompts, writes title options for A/B testing, writes both the YouTube and Spotify descriptions, pulls algorithm-friendly YouTube tags, and timestamps the full episode for the YouTube description and for X.

What used to be hours of post-production busywork is now basically one upload and a review pass."

9. A swarm for everything - @eeelistar

"I've been using OpenClaw with Claude Opus and Sonnet as my main models to run a swarm of 10 AI agents. They help me with multiple things including business strategy, personal health given my hormone profile such as nutrition and fitness plan, content planning and more. I've grown 5K followers on Instagram thanks to Claude and OpenClaw. Without it I think I would've been much too overwhelmed and therefore inconsistent, given I post on four platforms simultaneously."

10. Honestly? FOMO. - @rektdiomedes

"I use AI a ton but I feel, at the same time, like I am woefully under-utilizing it. Beyond using Claude for personal stuff, likely 20 minutes a day on average, I use both it and Grok for crypto-related stuff. Primarily I use Grok for image editing for CT, and then I use Claude for more high-level macro research and also collating data and research for threads and articles on the Twitter/X machine. I much prefer Claude from a UX/UI perspective over Grok, and wish Claude could edit simple meme images the way Grok does.

I never use any other AIs apart from Claude and Grok currently, but am open to doing so. And then as I said, I have significant "FOMO" about the fact that I'm not currently doing anything with Claude Cowork and so on. So hope to dive into that sometime soon too. And then I don't do any active trading so am not currently using AI at all for that."

There's no standard setup. Probably won't be one for a while. People are just tinkering with whatever's in front of them and seeing what sticks.

The range, from a private multi-agent intelligence operation to a single chatbot for meme edits, is striking. But the underlying patterns are consistent.

The people getting the most out of AI aren't necessarily using the most sophisticated tools. They're the ones who identified a specific bottleneck in their existing workflow and pointed AI directly at it. Research synthesis. Operational throughput. Technical analysis they couldn't do manually. Post-production busywork. Narrative tracking.

The edge isn't in the model or the tool. It's in knowing what to point it at. And the only real common thread is that nobody thinks they're done figuring it out.

So, what is your AI setup?
