The Coalition are already planning a sequel to Gears of War E-Day and it "won't take nearly as long", thanks to the foundation and their industry top talent in Unreal Engine.
Mike Crump (Studio Head at The Coalition) says E-Day will provide a “great foundation" for future games in the series, and insists "the next game will not take nearly as long” to make.

Coalition studio head Mike Crump says E-Day is a “natural choice to be an exclusive”.
“Gears has been an exclusive franchise to Xbox for 20 years now. It's sort of entwined deeply with the brand,” he says.
“And we're proud of that.”
He says the series “carries the banner” for the console and gives people a "reason to be in the Xbox ecosystem" - something he says has been the company's mission since day one.
When asked what would constitute success for the game, Crump admits the studio has financial targets and goals for the number of players it wants to reach, but insists it takes a “broader view” than that.
“We measure things like, are we showcasing the platform? Are we pushing the hardware to its limits? Are we showcasing what the Xbox is capable of?”
“Our goal basically is to be the best-looking game on the Xbox and really show the industry what's possible with our hardware.”
Crump also says “it's important to drive players towards Game Pass, Xbox's Netflix-style subscription service.”
“For us that's about shipping a great game that people are going to love and I feel like, as a team, we've done that.”

The first PS VR was a moderate success with games like Resident Evil 7 being among the most stellar experiences on VR.
However, Sony’s VR output was as abysmal as PS Vita, which left the hardware collecting dust for many users, and PS VR2 came with no backwards compatibility, with even less interesting games overall.
Despite being cheaper than Meta, PS VR2 didn’t seem to do well at all.
In my opinion, VR will only be a thing when technology evolves significantly enough to deliver totally immersion seamless movement, and basically any game being playable in standard and VR at launch, rather than a dedicated type of games or modes released months later for existing games that we played and finished.
It makes no sense to me to just wear a head set while I sit down and use a controller or deal with clunky controls holding two weird controllers and trying to make the game register the gesture, and most of the games we got were neither photorealistic enough for immersion nor fun enough to make you want to go through.

An absolute masterpiece. One of the best ever shooters and Xbox games. The writing, atmosphere, music, graphics. Marcus and Dom Dynamic is as amazing as the OG trilogy. Gameplay is the best in the series. Hope they'd continue the prequels.
