• But—oh, that music! That music! . . .
• No, certainly not; on the contrary . . . I only meant . . .
• She could tell herself that the journey had been worthwhile . . . that every wrong turn had taught her something . . . that the destination no longer mattered . . . but she still unfolded the map each morning.
• I had finally planted something and watched it grow; however small it was, it was mine . . . Now, where could I put it so it would catch the sun?
• Perhaps . . . perhaps. There was still another way.
• The gardener’s note offers practical advice: “Give the seedlings plenty of sunlight . . . and shelter them from strong winds.” (ประโยคเต็ม: “Give the seedlings plenty of sunlight, water them regularly, and shelter them from strong winds.”)
• The review praises the novel’s restraint, noting that “its strength lies in the quiet conversations . . . rather than in dramatic events.” (ประโยคเต็ม: “its strength lies in the quiet conversations between its characters rather than in dramatic events.”)
• During the station’s anniversary broadcast, the presenter read from an old railway announcement: “Passengers for the coast / Please board the waiting train . . . .”
• After examining the telescope’s first images, the observer noted: “The clarity of the lunar craters exceeded our expectations . . . . Finer details . . . along the shadowed rim, remained difficult to distinguish.”
• The workshop guide explains why careful preparation matters. “A clean surface,” the instructor writes, “allows the paint to spread evenly and adhere properly. . . . Let each coat dry before applying the next.”
.
The festival programme describes the final performance as “. . . a procession of illuminated boats, accompanied by drums and flutes, that glides across the lake after sunset.”
The festival programme describes the final performance as “a procession of illuminated boats . . . that glides across the lake after sunset.”
“What were you going to say?”
“. . . Nothing. Forget it.”
