India will build its own Starlink. The main controlling bottleneck is rockets not the satellite itself. That’s what we are solving.
Unfortunately, we are being blocked by certain oligarchs in order to maintain their monopolistic chokehold on the Indian people. You can guess who they are … This is a crime against the people of India!

I reiterate this point. Speeds may fluctuate, but they are at par with most Western countries. Remote areas being able to access high speed internet isn't a good enough case for Starlink, when the ability to launch our own LEO satellites at a high cadence is being developed.
4G (orange) and 5G (magenta) coverage for Airtel, Jio and BSNL in India. What will be use case or the market for Starlink? Not sure I understand.

Musk’s reference to “oligarchs” re Starlink reminds me of similar statements made by Bessent, Lutnick and Navarro on Indian businesses and “private profits” (on Ru Oil) at the height of trade disagreements last Sept. US cos replicating tactics used by USG in trade negotiations.

There is a low impact, minimal use case for Starlink in India. Quite revealing that Musk is pushing so hard for it.

It's incredibly classy of Modi govt to remember Shinzo Abe and continue to engage his wife long after his death There is no political or material gain from doing this, Abe has been dead for 4 years This tells you the kind of bond Modi-Abe had formed during their tenure

What hurts is we have been unable to capture a large share of exports for commodities where China's share is declining and will continue to decline.
China is not just exporting more of everything. China’s share of global exports has been declining in categories such as finished clothing, shoes, and bags.

Any self respecting country / govt would have given Kalyani forge $5-6 bn in orders, taken a small position in the company, funded it's R&D to a certain extent and champion them in every deal possible with every single country that's on the market for arty systems. What does Modiji do? Buy Korean crap and ignores Kalyani forge. Maybe if Adani acquired Kalyani forge the orders might flow?
Pakistan now has an edge over India in self-propelled and wheeled guns, with 438 M109 tracked 155 mm howitzers, 60 M110 203mm heavy SP guns and 250 SH-15 155 mm/52 truck-mounted howitzers; that's over 700 guns vs India’s mere 100 K9 Vajra-T in service. 7:1 advantage over India not just parity. With One tenth of defence budget. While Indian Army is busy frustrating Bharat Forge, who is now exporting to Armenia.

One of my published papers used Fourier transform to analyze some biology data, and one of the reviewers (biologist) insisted that I add the Fourier transform equations in the methods section of the paper. Still hate it.
It’s called Fourier transform

I feel Modi largely failed to percolate his policy nous as a CM to the underlings at the state level after he became PM. Rarely see any BJP ruled state replicate his success as a CM. Perhaps because political victories have been deemed more important in the long term.

18 months. 7 GW. One massive factory. From an investment commitment to full-scale production in just 18 months. I’m proud to present glimpses of Premier Energies’ 7 GW solar cell manufacturing facility at Naidupeta - India’s largest. This is how Andhra Pradesh rolls: less talk, more build. Fast approvals. Faster execution. Real factories. Real jobs. Speed of Doing Business - now in production. #ChooseSpeedChooseAP

For anything to do with building a supply chain, PLI isn't the best tool. The government needs to understand this plain fact. They are trying the same thing again with the telecom equipment PLI. An extra 10k crores in capex and power subsidy will get you much more in local supply chain than the 6-7k crore PLI.

This is day dreaming. Don't think people understand how vast the gap between china vs RoW is.
US is only holding back till 2028. At the end of 2028- the US will largely have fixed the rare earth dependency - with MP Metals, Vulcan, USA rare earth and several others. At that point - the US will resume its role as the one to force China. I’m also very positively surprised if the Europeans have grown a pair
