The job market is an absolute disaster right now, and I feel for you guys.
We recently posted a marketing role and the calibre of applicants has been insane. C-levels from what we considered tier-1 chains and projects, people I would have assumed were untouchable.
Some are genuinely overqualified (never thought I'd say that), the role pays less than half of what they're used to, and they're still keen.
My DMs are full of friends asking for an interview, people I thought were doing really well. I'm not even the one hiring for this role.
Not sure if it's AI eating jobs or just a terrible economy, but it's rough out there. If you're going through interview after interview and not landing anything, it's not you. The market is just shit right now. Hang in there.
