If you see Ed Lyman quoted in an article about nuclear it's most likely he is wrong on most or all accounts. He is anti-nuclear, has little technical credibility, and should not be given a platform as an expert by media organizations. Please do better journalists!

Recent quote on fast reactors is wrong on all accounts. They actually can offer superior economics, safety, and security. Oh, and they can recycle waste. That's a pretty powerful combination and value proposition.

I think we can go yet faster to deal with well-meaning attempts to have govt take over work that should be done by companies/communities or distortion of resources based on congressional mandate, but it won't make it easier for us or those coming behind who will seek investment.

If anything the past has shown this is an outrageously outdated industry, severely disconnected from market needs or public concerns, overly funded by the government, over regulated, antagonistic to other clean energy and devoid of innovation. More of govt won't fix any of that.
