Utterly embarrassing position for a country like ours to be in. The choice is clear: national renewal with Reform, national humiliation with Labour & the Tories.

Yet it’s a mother with disabled children – desperately in need of help – who’s found support from @RUKWales. Strange, isn’t it? Where have you been? Because despite my political views, you are the party in power – and you ignored my cries for help. Despite all the noise on social media and in the Senedd, the public still don’t hear me: a mother begging to be heard. But what the public don’t know is that Reform wales staff have been listening. They’ve taken my calls, answered my emails, and checked in first thing in the morning to see if I’m okay. They’ve sat beside me in places I never wanted to be – not because it’s politically convenient, but because they care. Yes, they’re doing it for the children – but they’re doing it for me too. For the first time in years, I haven’t felt judged. I may still over-explain, but I haven’t had to beg to be understood or to be heard. I haven’t been ignored. I haven’t had broken promises. I haven’t received the “sorry, we can’t help” emails. That is what real care looks like. And it’s not just party members – it’s the staff who are truly committed to standing with families and helping where it matters most.

I’m reposting my Senedd speech today because this latest child sexual exploitation case in North Wales is a stark reminder that accountability cannot end with the perpetrators. We must ask what institutions knew, when they knew it, and whether opportunities to protect children were missed. That is why I demanded in the Chamber: Open the books. Open the records. Accountability cannot stop at the courtroom door.

Next week over 20 families from every corner of Wales will be meeting @DafyddTrystan. We’ll be giving a voice to those who died and pleading for change. GPs are being asked to do more, with less, and patients are paying the price. Great to meet the team at Pontcae Medical Practice in Merthyr and hear directly about the pressures they’re facing as part of the #SaveOurSurgeries campaign. Growing demand, increasingly complex workloads, and funding pressures are putting local surgeries under huge strain. GPs shouldn’t be pitted against A&E. Patients need both services working properly, with primary care given the support it needs. We need to back our local surgeries because the nation’s wellbeing depends on it. #ReformUK #wales
