Zach Charbonnet confirmed to NOT be debuting in Week 5.
His knee, coming back from ACL reconstruction in late-February isn’t quite ready.
He’s still way ahead of schedule, as most guys wouldn’t return until mid-to-late November based on when he had his surgery.
His left quad is still atrophied (smaller) which is to be expected. That will return with time.
Charbonnet could return anytime in the next 2-3 weeks. Seattle’s bye isn’t until Week 11, so I doubt they wait until Week 12 since they had him start practicing with the team last week (activated his 21-day window).
He has to be activated in the next 2.5 weeks. If the 21 days pass and the team takes no action, the player automatically reverts to season-ending IR for the remainder of the campaign.
So by Week 7 at the latest.

Two observations:
He’s not wearing a brace
Left quad is slightly smaller than the right which tracks after coming off of a left ACL tear
Unknown additional injuries, which normally can include MCL, LCL or meniscus.
He suffered the injury in mid-January, but reported they didn’t undergo surgery until mid-February. That tells me the medical team was allowing another injury to heal before he underwent surgery.
To say he’s ahead of schedule would be an understatement. He’s basically in Adrian Peterson territory right now. 🤯
Technically, he could return in Week 5.
I expect him to take about a month to ramp up after debuting, and it will take a fair amount of time for him to completely trust his knee again.
