LISTEN: body cam footage leaked of 6-year-old black student after shooting and nearly killing his White teacher, Abby Zwerner, in Virginia in 2023.
HE WAS NEVER NAMED OR CHARGED FOR ANY CRIME.
The inept black principal, Ebony Parker, was told by FOUR different teachers that the student had a gun and did exactly nothing. Parker was indicted on eight felony charges that were DISMISSED by a black female judge in May 2026.
The shooter’s mother, Deja Nicole Taylor, was charged in state and federal court on separate charges and received less than four years.
The boy’s father, Malik Ramon Ellison, was 26 at the time of the shooting and has a lengthy criminal history dating back to childhood. At age 11, he was convicted of TWO two sexual assaults. At 17, he was convicted of felony breaking and entering. As an adult, his record also included violating a protective order, assault and battery, and possession of ammunition as a convicted felon. He additionally faced charges over allegations involving abduction, brandishing a firearm, firearm possession by a convicted felon, and making a false statement while attempting to purchase a firearm, although those charges did not result in convictions.
In a separate 2020 domestic-violence case, when Ellison was 24 and his son (the school shooter) was 4, Deja Taylor told police that Ellison forced his way into her home, struck her in the jaw and threw her to the ground. Their son, identified only as “J.T.” was living in the home at the time. The breaking-and-entering charge was dropped, while a judge found sufficient evidence to find Ellison guilty of assaulting Taylor and initially withheld final judgment to give him an opportunity to demonstrate good behavior.
Meanwhile the victim, Abby, must live with the bullet lodged in her body and the severe physical and emotional trauma of surviving a shooting like this for the rest of her life. She has had to go public while the criminal is free and protected.
Zwerner sued Ebony Parker and a court awarded her $10 million in damages but that verdict is currently on appeal since Parker’s charges were dismissed.
