Which should happen about 4.3% of the time, therefore in any given season we'd expect one team to "underperform" to this extent purely by chance
Last season, they scored 58 goals from 72.82(xG)

If only somebody could have foreseen this
Nottingham was 6th for modern languages in the 2021 REF and is the only university in East Midlands providing language courses. The closure of an objectively brilliant department by a Russell Group university raises questions about the 2015 decision to uncap student numbers and leave UK HE provision entirely to market forces timeshighereducation.com/new…

21 hours...
We’ve set up a molecular biology lab at Anthropic and we’re announcing our first discovery! Claude discovered a new CRISPR-like enzyme. 950 agents spent 21 hours searching through a database of DNA sequences until one of the agents found something striking: “[The DNA next to the RT] is spectacular: I can see by eye a tandem repeat array … that's a CRISPR-like … repeat array?!”. After analysis and testing in our lab, we found that the sequence is a previously uncharacterized enzyme system. We don’t know what it does yet, but it has features reminiscent of CRISPR. Our lab looks like a typical molecular biology lab. Our research only involves the lower-levels of biosafety risk level; we don’t handle pathogens that can infect humans, and all the lab work is performed by human scientists. We’re sharing these early findings with the community to show how Claude can be used to accelerate fundamental research in biology.

New series of Peep Show looks a bit different
Shot entirely in first person, Bad Day At The Office follows amnesiac Karl (The Mummy's John Hannah) who wakes up in a wrecked hotel room with a dead body in his bathtub and half the city in murderous pursuit. Check out the exclusive trailer here:

"Not about servers in general"... except the Green Party announcement explicitly quotes stats and details related to data centres in general (eg 500 in the UK) and not AI specifically. Why pretend it's something it's not?
It’s crazy how often you discover a new Labour MP, completely unfit for the job. Starmer really did pack Parliament with total non-entities. Best they can do is pretending to not understand this is explicitly about AI and not “servers in general” — embarrassing stuff.

Won't somebody please think of the vast, ecologically barren, anthropogenic Hertfordshire landscapes 😢😢😢
I am very worried about the government’s latest planning reforms published today, which will give a ‘default yes’ for developments near railway stations. (1/3)

The sad thing is that these stories will inevitably undermine the sanctity of the FIFA Peace Prize.

Argentina rewriting history again...
Just think about these things for a moment. Was everything really normal? 1. Messi's family did not come to the stadium. 2. Argentina's President was expected to attend but never showed up. 3. Diego Simeone was seen in the stands during almost every Argentina match, yet he was absent from the final. 4. Lautaro Martínez was not even shown on screen for a single minute, let alone given any playing time. 5. Enzo received two yellow cards and was sent off 6. Lisandro Martínez's injury. He is the kind of player who has continued playing even while bleeding in ordinary matches, yet in a World Cup final he got injured without any apparent contact from an opponent. 7. Cristian Romero's injury. 8. Scaloni's strange substitutions. 9. Argentina failed to register a single shot on target in the first 90 minutes. Even after 120 minutes, they managed only two shots on target. 10. Spain completed nearly 800 passes, while Argentina completed fewer than 300. It is difficult to believe. 11. Argentina kept losing possession. Even when they managed to win the ball back, they often gave it straight back to Spain with their very next action. Time after time, they would bring the ball out from their own penalty area, reach midfield, and then immediately surrender possession. 12. Cristian Romero did not shake hands with Trump. 13. As of now, Messi, Julián Álvarez, De Paul, Lautaro Martínez, Enzo Fernández, and Lisandro Martínez have still not returned to Argentina. 14. Finally, Messi was not awarded the Golden Ball. By what statistical measure did Rodri deserve it over Messi? All things considered, I have to say something happened here, just like what happened in the era of Maradona in 1990. The Brazilian FIFA president back then simply snatched the World Cup away from Maradona. Maradona cried and said that Havelange (the then FIFA president) had taken the World Cup away from him. Today, Infantino has perhaps done the exact same thing. Since false narratives like 'Messi, FIFA boy, rigged' were spreading throughout the entire World Cup, maybe they did this so that FIFA's image wouldn't be tarnished and the billion dollar business across Europe wouldn't be ruined. I don't know what the truth is here, but sooner or later it will come to light. Until then, we wait.... And Ronaldo fans, listen You guys spread anti-Messi agenda throughout the tournament. We will never forget you guys. Shame on you Loser FC.

Sitting in isolation quarantine on my own watching the Euro 2020 final at home during COVID. Hearing the outcome of each penalty about 2 seconds before it was taken because my neighbours feed was ahead of mine.
What's been your most comically bad viewing experience watching an England game? In 2018 we watched a game in a place under a trainline and the tv cut out every time a train went over

If VAR had gone any further back in that Egyptian move Tutankhamun would be involved. How far do you go back? Probably right decision but what a pity, what a goal that would have been. 80 yards, majestic move, precise passing, would have been one of the goals of the tournament,

As a VAR rule of thumb, if you have to fast forward the replay to show the possible foul and the goal in a single replay, the incident happened too far in advance of the goal to count.

From the country that tells us they "could care less", which is in fact the literal opposite of what they mean. "Qui-Gon Jim" is good though, may have to pinch that
Since we hating on Europeans I just wanna add that I absolutely loathe the way British people say “pasta”

You could scrap the triple lock and bolster the defence budget by about 25%. But perish the thought that the state pension would only increase at the same rate as wages.
🚨 WATCH: Nigel Farage formally commits to the state pension triple lock if Reform UK win the next election "The people to whom pensions are being paid, certainly compared to a younger generation today, are those who have actually worked and paid into the system"
