While Mancunians struggle to get by in the cost of living crisis, spending £5M of taxpayer money to pay for a parliamentary and mayoral by-election due to Labour incompetence is ludicrous.
This is Labours' own doing. They should foot the bill. Not the taxpayer.
Manchesters' Liberal Democrat councillors will continue to stand up for Mancunians each and every day and we will remain the real and experienced opposition to this Labour council.

Didsbury West - There are 6 hours left to re-elect and send Labour a message today. It's out of touch Labour or hard working Liberal Democrats in many parts of Manchester today 🗳🔶️
Ancoats and Beswick need local champions who actually show up and represent residents.
Vote for Luke Allan this time tomorrow, and you'll have a complete team of hard-working councillors in Ancoats and Beswick- fighting your corner every single day 🔶️

Manchester: Stop Reform, beat Labour- Vote Liberal Democrat. We are the only party who can win against them in many parts of the city including the city centre and south of the city 🔶️
The Labour councillor for Ancoats & Beswick failed to show up to their advice surgery this morning, leaving residents waiting. Lib Dem Cllr, Chris Northwood, stepped in to listen and help resolve issues. Labour are giving up on the job and the people of Manchester.
Antisemitism is a poison. It has no place anywhere. Anyone who has made antisemitic comments or holds such views simply isn't fit for public office, no matter which party (or non) they represent.
Discrimination has no place in our society.
“These are antisemitic attacks on British Jews, they are also an attack on our British way of life and our British values.”
