Bolt wants 25,000 driverless Lucids on European roads, and says it intends to own and operate the fleet itself.
Then read the rest. No order has been placed, and no money has moved. Lucid's midsize platform, the car all of this sits on, slipped to the second half of 2027.
So the 25,000 is an intention. What interests me is which intention Bolt picked. It could have announced a supply agreement and left the ownership question alone. It named itself the owner and stood up a unit to do the operating.
Owning 25,000 cars is a financing problem first. Bolt has until 2027 to solve it.
