🚀 DDR4 & DDR5 Market Update
25 July 2026: Memory market remains extremely tight heading into the second half of 2026.
Key trends right now:
DDR5 continues its strong upward trajectory +10% increase in cost next month. AI server demand and capacity allocation toward HBM continue to fuel price increases. Reseller contract prices seeing another quarter-on-quarter increase in 7 days. Spot and module pricing up another 7%
DDR4 -> Under pressure. Major manufacturers shift capacity to DDR5 & HBM. DDR4 supply is tight, creating scarcity in certain segments (especially for resellers/integration/ legacy systems). In some cases we see unusual pricing dynamics between the two generations. Overall DRAM conditions are still on the increase. Secure your stock for next quarter now. Lead times are extended and inventories low across both DDR4 and DDR5 in South Africa. CSSI contributes 12% to total market share (up from 9% in January)
