Yesterday, Israel murdered at least 13 people, including 5 children, in the Gaza Strip. Canadian Foreign Minister @AnitaAnandMP found time to condemn Iran and Russia, but she couldn’t utter a peep about Israel’s ongoing genocide.

Canada has failed to take meaningful action against US-backed genocide and occupation in Palestine, and now stands idly by while the US illegally bombs and commits a coup in Venezuela for oil interests. Total impunity for these war crimes erodes the foundations of international law. We stand in solidarity with all peoples, from Venezuela to Palestine, resisting imperialist invasion and occupation.

Just got this from the Canadian government: “While Global Affairs Canada regrets the decision, the group was travelling independently and was not representing the Government of Canada.” Israeli officials ASSAULTED a Canadian member of Parliament!! Where is the backbone????

A physician colleague from Canada tried to enter Palestine today to go into Gaza and volunteer as a medic. He was denied entry by an Israeli soldier, and was told by them that he could not be carrying in with him medications. The exact quote is “no life saving medications”.

30 Canadians including 6 PMs were barred from entering Palestine by Israeli officials, and a Canadian MP was assaulted. Spokesperson for the Israeli embassy in Ottawa falsely claims that Islamic Relief Canada is linked to terrorism. Meanwhile Israel is committing acts of terrorism daily against Palestinians. Canada’s recent recognition of Palestine as a sovereign and independent state is meaningless if it continues to refuse to take material action against Israel’s obstruction of that very sovereignty (not to even mention the insult to Canada’s sovereignty).
