Jack Smith deserves an apology for these baseless and FALSE accusations of perjury by my Republican colleague.
Sen. SCHMITT: We have texts saying you attended an Atlanta Hawks game in February 2024. Former Special Counsel Smith: I believe it was a Maryland-Iowa game. Sen. KLOBUCHAR: The Iowa HAWKeyes. Perhaps the Senator from Missouri should have looked at these texts more carefully.

Before calling someone a “dirtbag,” the Senator should have had his facts straight. An apology is in order.    Glad one of us knew the difference between the Atlanta Hawks and the Iowa Hawkeyes!

And so here we are. This statement from Trump blows my mind. That a sitting president would not let any renovations to a public building go on unless he gets to first put his name in the said building… What a sad state of affairs. What a tragedy. Actually, how small minded, how narcissistic. Actually great men, devoted to public service and the public good do not act like this. It seems that this man will not rest until his name is permanently connected to the name of a great president, whose memory this building was dedicated to. Imagine spending your time and your days focused on this, as everyday Americans struggle with healthcare, gas prices, rent, and food. Imagine spending your days focused on this, while a war rages under your leadership. Enough said. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

If you’ve been following the Missouri controversy over which maps will be used in 2026, here’s about 18 minutes of Denny Hoskins’ attorney getting absolutely hammered by multiple justices on the Missouri Supreme Court. The court found Secretary Hoskins in contempt of court just hours later. Happy Friday 🤗

Many of us on Donald Trump's team in the first term saw -- up close -- how much of a loser he was. Now, I think that understates it. He's the BIGGEST loser in the history of U.S. politics. A crybaby of the highest order. And an electoral thug who can't shoot straight.
NEWS: President Trump is planning to announce that Georgia's two senators, Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock, are illegitimate because of fraud, a well-placed source in Georgia tells us. Announcement could come as soon as tonight.

The deal with Iran will go down as one of the most incompetent ever made. The U.S. lost on virtually every point. We just don't win anymore!

This is fundamentally un-American. The relentless pursuit by the Department of Justice of one citizen at the demand of the president, because of the president’s personal animosity, is something our country has never seen. Tinpot dictators and their henchmen do this.
Former FBI Director James Comey has been indicted a second time by Trump's Justice Department, two sources familiar told CNN. cnn.it/4tzeVTj

I typically don't like to be alarmist but any student of history would tell you: all the lights are blinking scarlet red. I mean: - Massive military expansion: check (see below) - Annexation threats: check - Demonstrated willingness to use force unilaterally: check - New imperial doctrine proclaimed: check - Withdrawal from international organizations and international treaties: check At this stage we're not even watching warning signs anymore. We're watching the thing itself, in motion. The only way the world stops this train is to put differences aside and form a balancing coalition. Otherwise the dominos will keep falling one after the other. Hope of self-restraint of a rogue great power isn't historically a very successful strategy. Self-restraint requires either institutions (now being exited) or norms (now being shredded). The only thing that can bring it back is fear of consequences.
"I have determined that, for the Good of our Country, especially in these very troubled and dangerous times, our Military Budget for the year 2027 should not be $1 Trillion Dollars, but rather $1.5 Trillion Dollars..." - President Donald J. Trump

The problem with the credibility of this current admin is that they seem to go out of their way to provoke confrontation on just about every front. Whether internationally, with Congress with DHS, with ICE, every action seems to be intended to see how far they can go before push back. And then they use the push back as rationalization to do more. It’s an ugly loop they’ve created. It’s all intentional

Babbitt ignored police and forced her way toward officers and senators. That was called “murder,” her fellow insurrectionists were pardoned, and her family got a taxpayer settlement. Yet an unarmed woman shot while driving away is labeled “domestic terrorism.” Orwellian times.
