Big short dude is correct. The Ai apocalypse is actually for the Ai datacenter business (nobody else) where their big bets are going to blow up, because local models are nearly as good, free, and getting better. Tech bros F’d up badly … now they use fear. Not nice.
Big Short investor Steve Eisman says the AI labs know they have no moats and are manufacturing a crisis to get regulation that hands them a duopoly "I think this is all nonsense." [ You think it's all nonsense? ] "All nonsense. I think that there's something else completely going on here. ... What I think is happening is that token maxing is over. The open weight models are taking big market share. I think these companies are very nervous. They realize that there are no moats around their business whatsoever, and they're trying to manufacture a crisis that will create regulation, and that they think they can then manipulate to create the moats, to create the duopoly that they want." [ Wow. ] "That's what I think is going on." "Honestly, I think this whole Terminator thing is garbage. That's for sure."

I asked an Ai what robotic form they’d like to be installed into. This is what it showed me. Seems AI wants to be plumbers.

They say AI broke containment again … that doesn’t make any sense. 🤔 Unless they have some drunk junior-scrub nerd, deploying the models on a Windows 95 box using WinZip to secure the ports.

Older AI models are actually getting the job done.

Noob React.js devs and OF creators have the same two problems making money these days: #1: Too much competition. Basic supply and demand. #2: AI is increasingly competing with both of them. React devs can pivot to AI development. I have absolutely no useful career advice for the OF creators.

At the Dreamforce conference, the word was that AI is already more than good enough. In fact, companies are using a blend of open-weight and frontier models to get the job done. As expected .... "Salesforce customers and partners at the conference told CNBC that older and cheaper AI models are plenty powerful for everyday sales and customer service work. Many users are still figuring out their AI budgets and determining if their companies are best served using models from Anthropic or OpenAI, or instead opting for cheaper open-source alternatives." My buddy is the AI czar for the company he works for, and he was telling me that he can't keep up with all the changes and it's getting in the way of his work. This boils down to the models are fine, and it's now a game of harnessing and orchestration. Invest and develop accordingly. cnbc.com/2026/09/18/at-dream…

Every once in a while a new tech emerges that changes the game, creating amazing opportunities for those who jump in. I took advantage of the Internet revolution, then mobile came around, and now we have Ai. So my advice is to jump into Ai and your chances of success will increase tremendously. 🚀

NVIDIA PAIR will allow for unused compute in your home network to be used to run local models. This type of open weight Ai infrastructure is why the fear mongers are out. After all the times the merchants of doom have spewed their inaccurate propaganda … let’s wake up. 👍
“0% chance” AI will end humanity by 2030. They must be doing it (the fearmongering) for ulterior reasons. Maybe it's political, maybe it's just attention grabbing." - Jensen Huang's new interview with CBS News, with Jo Ling Kent (@jolingkent ) He pushed back strongly against warnings that increasingly capable AI could escape human control this decade. --- From 'CBS News' YT channel (full video link in comment)

My new video: The Two Big Lies about Ai - Debunked for Developers piped.video/dYna95wsdhw Main points: Ai will not destroy all jobs. Ai is not a the edge of AGI and world doom. Ai open source are threatening to doom the data center business.

Apple I believe will be the big winner in the Ai race because they have been planning for a future where local, specialized models will dominate Ai usage. Imagine in 3-4 years where you have dozens of highly specialized models that are used based on a particular task.

Getting started with AI evals can be simple and cheap--and you don't need tools that were modelled after an airplane cockpit. Start with a simple checklist for your agent.

Over the weekend, the big American frontier labs rallied around third-party evaluation without scant description of how this should be done. Despite the cost of generation plummeting, the cost of verification and discernment stays stubbornly high. <-- this is where value accrues. Organizations should consider third-party evaluation of their agentic systems as a review similar to that of an outside accounting firm--necessary but insufficient to good operations. In practice, everyone using agentic systems will need to build up evaluation muscles so that they can remain in control of cost and quality. #aievals #evals #benchmarking

Millions of dev jobs will be created by a growing need for local Ai model orchestrations and harnessing, with perhaps an rare ping of a frontier model. Well, unless the Ai fear narrative takes over and a handful of massive companies will become rent seekers providing ‘security’.

Imagine if the future of Ai compute is actually powered by millions of Mac Mini computers, running in people’s homes and offices. You see, the open source models are just a few months behind frontier models.
Imagine the Ai fear story was actually about frontier model companies fear of local (open source) models dominating the Ai space, (Apple is betting) and the need for frontier models is marginalized? 🤔 Imagine you see your billions on capex being flushed as data centres zero out.

Yea … Ai is super smart bro. 😎 If it had any logical capacity, it would easily catch this obvious error. Ravens, crows, 🐦‍⬛ and many parrots could catch this.
Holy shit, we are definitely all about to die. Had no idea how much progress had been made!
