imagine never learning to walk because it’s scary to fall on your butt, and having to crawl around for the rest of your life
i guarantee you’re doing the equivalent of that in some area of your life if you’re letting fear decide how you behave
the reward of doing hard stuff is doing harder stuff (complimentary)
life is like a video game with levels. the level you are currently at is hard for you, and the next level will be hard for you too. the thing is, tho, as you progress through each level, the game becomes so much more interesting, novel, and enjoyable
not doing stuff cause it's hard is like choosing to play the same level of the video game over and over again without giving the next level a shot. just hanging out on the map, avoiding the challenges, seeing the same thing over and over again, avoiding the same thing over and over again. it gets really boring and painful!
it is much more fun to do the hard stuff, be in movement, see the landscape change, and face new challenges
