Victoria BC
Speaking of taxes… if you’re an older voter in a home you’ve been deferring taxes on to put up with the cost of living increases… you know Eby is now compounding that interest on deferment right? If more taxes solved fund mismanagement we’d be living in paradise by now.

No one has a problem with taxes… we all have a problem with how tax dollars are being wasted. If you really think an extra bit of income tax will fix the terrible management issues of the BCNDP I’m a bit shocked at your naivety.

They called it a millionaire tax. It starts at $190,405. That's not a millionaire. That's a surgeon. An engineer. The founder hiring your kids. Every province wants these people. Alberta wants them. Texas wants them. Ontario wants them. BC's offer: come here, succeed, and we'll take more. Victoria could be the best place in Canada to build a career. Ocean, talent, a university, a tech sector. Instead we're sending the bill to the people we should be recruiting. Reward success. Don't punish it.
Framing this as a “millionaire tax” is deliberately misleading. The tax increases start at $190K… These are high skilled professionals, doctors, entrepreneurs and executives. The exact people BC should be fighting to attract and retain. Instead Eby’s message is “succeed here and we’ll take more from you.”

9 years of health care under David Eby & the NDP: DULF/VANDU used taxpayer dollars to traffic drugs out of a storefront provided by VCH — a taxpayer-funded HEALTH authority. VCH was one of two HEALTH authorities that secretly conspired with a group to violently disrupt a recovery-focused symposium in Vancouver. Drugs, weapons & assaults on health care workers are not uncommon in BC hospitals & have even been authorized.

BC has 2 Pediatric cardiac surgeons for the entire province. "They work their asses off. You loose 1 or can’t replace one at retirement and we are in a lot of hurt. Getting votes by demonizing hard working people has lost any remaining support I held for some of the NDP policies." - Dr. Kevin Mcleod, Internal Medicine Specialist for the North Shore of Vancouver and Whitehorse.
BC NDP proposed provincial income tax increases are NOT a so called millionaires tax. The 2% increase starts at $190,405 to $265,545 - upping the rate from 16.8% to 18.8%. On Income from $265,545 to $1 million the rate increases from 20.5% to 22.5%. Income above $1 million: A new top tax bracket would be introduced at 24.5% - Pushing the top marginal provincial/federal rate to 57.5% on income over $1 million - the highest in North America.

I've spoken with so many people over the past few days, at the market, in cafés, on a bench. Thank you for the conversations, the different perspectives, and for caring so much about our community. 🙏 We may not agree on everything, but we all want a better place to live. That's something we share, and it's what keeps me going. See you around the neighbourhood. ☀️ #yyj #bcpoli #victoriabc

When 53.5% isn’t enough personal tax for the BC NDP. Eby loves taxing success because he’s been such a failure in his own life This list would include doctors he is trying to attract to BC.

Sorry, but the narrative for the rest of this campaign is that Eby's snap election caught so many people off guard that not even his own party was able to get its paperwork in order before the deadline. But the Conservatives did. Somehow. Despite being in supposed chaos. And being unreliable. This is a disaster. #bcpoli
NEW - The @bcndp say they were unable to field a full slate of candidates in their own snap election. 92 of 93 ridings. The party did not get the paperwork complete for Peace River North, where @JordanKealyPRN is running as an independent. The @BCConservCaucus nominated 93 candidates.

The announcement from the conservatives today seems like such simple common sense. Imagine a leader that listens to people like Jesse Zeman, president of the B.C. Wildlife Federation "we need to get some of the regulatory red tape out of the way”
