My jaw is on the floor A look at the financial information of a taxpayer funded charter school in Minnesota called Lionsgate Academy shows it’s getting $33.4 million with ONLY 150 STUDENTS ENROLLED “Graduation rate, 23%…. $34 million, they can't read or write, and their graduation rate is 23%. Why does this school exist? — What is it serving” I looked into it and confirmed that of their over $33 million dollars in annual funding, 99% comes from taxpayers What in the heck is going on in Minnesota?? Americans taxpayers are being robbed blind

July 2016, I’m working as the Asst. Chief Flight Instructor at the Culver Military Academy in Indiana, when I get a phone call from our chief pilot, needs me to immediately drive back to Chicago, and help fly a VIP to Kentucky the next day on our Citation. Days before, I had seen in the news former Bears Coach Ryan (credited for the ‘86 Bears Super Bowl win) had recently passed away, and as it turns out, we’d be flying Coach Ditka & his wife to the funeral. Now, this was my first celebrity flight, and I couldn’t wait to get through the day so I could tell my dad (a big Bears fan) all about it. Coach & his wife arrive, board our plane, and off we go. After we land, the line crew pull up the rental car, and to our surprise, Coach announces we’re now their chauffeurs for the day. So here I am, driving Coach Ditka, and the Mrs, to the funeral home for the wake. We pull up to this old school Kentucky home turned funeral parlor. News crews everywhere, state troopers directing traffic, and we find a spot to park. “Okay, we’ll wait here, just let us know when you’re ready.”, I announce. “Oh no, you boys are coming in with us.”, says Mrs. Ditka. Okay then. We follow them in, walk down the hallway and into a large room. There’s a line waiting to pass by Coach Ryan’s casket, and immediately, I start to point out (in my head, of course) “there’s an ‘86 Bear, there’s an ‘86 Bear, another ‘86 Bear….”. Now, not having met or known Coach Ryan or any of his family, we politely excuse ourselves to the kitchen and graze on some snacks. After maybe forty-five minutes, Coach Ditka finds us, and announces they want to drive into town for lunch. On the way in, we pass a small cigar shop, Coach says “this is good, pull over.”. We park, everyone bails out, and Coach makes a bee line for the cigar shop. I poke around alongside him, while he finds a few cigars to his liking, makes his purchase, and we all head next door to a panini joint. Sandwiches in hand, we step outside to enjoy lunch at the tables out front. It was here where Coachs personality really shined, because every few minutes or so, a passerby would recognize him, approach, and politely ask for a photo. Without missing a beat, Coach would put down his sandwich, wipe his mouth, stand up, shake the strangers hand, then hand me their camera phone and stand next to them for a photo. He must have stood at least a dozen times during lunch, and every time he was just as glad to meet this new person as he was the last. With lunch complete, we then traveled to the church for the funeral, and wouldn’t you know it, the Mrs again insisted we join them. “Now my dad’s really going to flip.” I think, as we enter for what would be a full Catholic mass. Having grown up in a Catholic family, I knew what to expect. I sat between the captain and Mrs Ditka, with Coach on the other side of her. The mass was very nice, and soon came time for the sign of peace. I shook a few hands in the pews around me, but the hand I really wanted to shake, was Coach Ditka’s. “Peace be with you, Coach.”. “You too, kid.”. It brought a grin from ear to ear I’ll never forget. After the funeral, it was back to the plane for the return trip to Chicago. Coach tipped u$ both very generously, before they excused themselves to our company picnic table, while they waited for their driver. The picture below was taken by a friend from his office, of me making sure the Ditkas were taken care of while they waited. Two of the nicest people I’ve ever met. Peace be with you, Coach.
Rest in Peace, Mike Ditka An all time legend

Brilliant analysis; a must read for all parents and not only for single mothers.
How Weak Men Come About It starts at home. The household is rich and civilized, and that is often understood as a sophisticated softness and smoothness. Feminine values take over. The mother rules at home and can afford to give her boy everything: to fulfil his every whim, to do everything for him. And so she does. With one child per family, it is often six adults – two parents, four grandparents – serving one boy. So the boy gets everything, for free, and immediately. He never takes the marshmallow test, because there is never anything to wait for. He never fails, because no one lets him. A boy becomes a man by meeting resistance, and his home has removed all of it. And where is the father? Sometimes gone after a divorce, a weekend visitor. But even when he stays, he is gone. He leaves in the morning for abstract work the boy cannot see or relate to: meetings, emails, a screen. For thousands of years, a boy watched his father work, then worked beside him, then took over. He learned from older men by doing, and one day they told him: now you are a man. That apprenticeship has disappeared, and nobody ever tells him. Then come the group dynamics at school. If the majority of boys already start like that, it becomes a self-reinforcing behavioral norm. Boys want to belong, so they all act soft. The one who wants to stay strong ends up alone, and loses. The predominantly female teaching staff reinforces it. The men teachers, a small minority, end up dominated by the feminine atmosphere of the school. There are no trees to climb and no fights to settle – the playground is padded. Competition becomes suspect, risk becomes a safety violation, and the restless boy who once got a football field now gets a diagnosis. The leftist curriculum only adds to that, teaching the boy that his strength is a problem to be managed. Meanwhile the screen gives him everything a man used to fight for, for free. Video games give victory without a fight. Porn gives sex without courting a woman. Likes give status without achieving anything. Why pay the real price when the fake one costs nothing? So he doesn’t. Then the leftist academia finishes him off. Three more years of learning that the men who built his civilization were oppressors, and that the right answer is always the softest one. Then the HR-dominated corporate world simply keeps him that way. Promotion goes to whoever offends no one. The man who says the plan is bad is "not a team player". What school started, the office maintains for forty years. The propaganda reinforces every mechanism along the way. In films, sitcoms and ads, the father is the idiot whom the wife and kids correct, and strength is either a joke or a threat. The boy learns early what a man is supposed to be. And at the end, the state takes the last role he had left. It provides for the mother, so the provider becomes unnecessary. A man nobody needs has no reason to be strong. And so it goes. Our men end up weak. This is not because they were born weak. It is because every institution they passed through rewarded softness and punished strength, from the first toy to the last performance review. That is why we are being conquered by Muslims who laugh at us, seeing all of that.

An Open Letter from a Microsoft H1B PERM Desk to the Americans Who Cheered Dear Americans, You can stop clapping. We saw the press conference. Yesterday the Labor Department froze PERM for Microsoft, Adobe, Cognizant, Infosys, Tata, Wipro, HCL, and Capgemini. No new filings. No pending filings. Your vice president stood up and said no company abused the system more than Microsoft. He cited about 6,000 American jobs cut last year against about 6,300 H-1B approvals and nearly 3,000 green cards. The company answered that 80 percent of those visas were extensions for people already inside. Read that again slowly. Already inside. That was the point. You should recognize the fact that Microsoft had no intention of allowing temporary labor to stay temporary so Americans would be considered. Let that sink in. You think this is a victory. It is just a delay. We did not lose the jobs. We just lost a form temporarily- 6 months max. The H-1B is still valid. The desk is still ours. The code is still ours. What you took was the stamp that turns a temporary seat into a permanent one for a brief time out. Annoying. Not fatal. Green cards were already backed up, what's another few months. And whose fault is the situation? Yours. You wanted a decent wage. You wanted a house, a school district, a weekend. We took the req at the number finance approved. When your people trained us and then landed on the layoff list, that was not cruelty- it was a different kind of competition... around wages. That was a market set by a trillion dollar company making massive profits off the country they refuse to hire from. A market you refused to clear. If an American graduate cannot beat a sponsored job on price, the American graduate is the problem. You need to suck it up and learn how to eat ramen, sleep several to a room, and fake your credentials if you expect to compete with us. That is why we are better than you. Enjoy the small steps. A fee. A frozen filing. A speech. None of it rewrites the org chart. The next election puts the other party back in the chair. They do not share your panic. They will open the cap, reopen PERM, and call it talent. The flood does not need a new law. It needs the old one enforced the old way. Infinity is not a metaphor. It is the backlog you just paused. Infinity H1B is one election away and all we need is for your disgust with the system to keep you home so we can finish the job at a pay you refuse to take. We will still be here in November, not a single H1B has to go home when this is all over. All of us will be employed. You can have the press release. We kept the job. A senior H1B engineer whose green card is now a pending file (Screwtape letter style)

At first, I was shocked to learn Texas was importing English Teachers from India, but what I’ve just learned is even worse. TEXAS TAXPAYERS ARE PAYING MILLIONS TO AN EDUCATION COMPANY DEVELOPING AMERICAN SCHOOL CURRICULUM IN INDIA. And the deeper I dig, the worse this looks. Imagine Learning says it serves 18 MILLION students, 38,000+ U.S. schools and HALF of all American school districts. I’ve identified more than $7.7 MILLION in Texas district contracts, purchasing authorizations and payment records. Imagine Learning is recruiting workers in Bengaluru to develop American K–12 curriculum. Not just software engineers, not customer support but CURRICULUM ARCHITECTS, INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGNERS, ENGLISH LANGUAGE ARTS MANAGERS. People in India are developing American K–12 reading lessons, writing assignments, literature questions, essay prompts, assessments and materials “aligned with U.S. state education standards.” They’re even recruiting managers to oversee curriculum design decisions and AI-assisted lesson development. We’re talking about the actual educational content being created for American children and this goes FAR beyond one office. INFOSYS publicly announced TWO AI-first delivery centers for Imagine Learning in Chandigarh and Pune, supporting product engineering, business systems and operations. Straive LearningMate also names Imagine Learning as a client for AI-assisted curriculum production, including assessments and content transformation. Its executives describe a relationship spanning more than a decade and the INDIAN GOVERNMENT is celebrating the expansion. Karnataka’s government technology department publicly promoted Imagine Learning’s Bengaluru operation, highlighting AI, data science, engineering and product development. Imagine Learning India executive Ravi Shanker also reported attending a Karnataka government-hosted industry meeting with senior political leadership. But wait, there’s more - look at what Imagine Learning markets to TEXAS schools: 7TH GRADE TEXAS HISTORY. 8TH GRADE U.S. HISTORY. AMERICAN GOVERNMENT. U.S. HISTORY SINCE 1877. ENGLISH LANGUAGE ARTS. A Houston charter school’s Texas Education Agency grant application specifically identified Imagine Learning for seventh-grade Texas History and eighth- and eleventh-grade U.S. History. We’re talking about lessons addressing Texas independence, annexation, the Constitution and the history of our country. WHO is writing those lessons? WHERE are they being developed? Who has final editorial authority? AND THEN THERE’S THE CHILDREN’S DATA. Imagine Learning’s privacy policy says its platforms can collect student names, assessments, writing samples, audio recordings, demographic information, and sensitive indicators including IEP status, foster care and homelessness. The company says personal information is stored and processed in the United States, but it’s also hiring platform and data engineers in India. Can employees or contractors overseas remotely access identifiable student records? Do Infosys or LearningMate personnel have access? What do the Texas contracts actually permit? We have outsourced American jobs, technology and entire industries. Now companies are building offshore operations around the development of lessons for American children - financed by American taxpayers. TEXAS NEEDS A FULL AUDIT OF IMAGINE LEARNING. Every taxpayer dollar, every offshore contractor, every curriculum author, every AI workflow and every very permission to access student data. American parents deserve to know who writes their children’s lessons and who can see their records. How many of you knew OUR children’s curriculum is being developed in India? I think I need to keep pulling this thread.

If you have a kid who is a recent software engineering graduate and you are as excited as I am about the H1B scam finally ending, here's how it started... IBM is almost singlehandedly responsible for the outsourcing of American engineering jobs. It was the early 90s and IBM was getting nuked by Microsoft, Oracle, HP, Sun, Dell, and Intel. Massive losses and the existential dread of a dinosaur monopoly being devoured by younger, hungrier, more nimble beasts. Using it's massive political clout and governmental relationships starting from all the way back in WWII, it smoothed the path for the 1992 partnership with TATA, the first and greatest tech outsourcer. Indian based employee numbers surged from 9,000 in 2003 to 74,000 by 2007, surpassing U.S. headcount. By 2006, IBM became the multinational with the most employees in India and by 2017 it overtook the U.S. as IBM's largest workforce location, with ~130,000 employees (one-third of global total) and today, IBM India employs ~150,000–200,000 people across 20+ cities. Once IBM opened the floodgates and smoothed the political/legal landscape everybody in the Valley copied them, with Microsoft being the most aggressive. Think about it: billionaires running our most profitable companies have been gradually destroying our scientific and engineering edge by hiring indentured servants instead of American graduates so that they can build a bigger yacht. Our elites literally sold out our children's future to make more money. But wait! It gets worse! IBM also spearheaded the massive expansion of H1Bs so that, as essentially an Indian company at this point, it could import a captive workforce where on-prem was required. The follow-on effect was the creation of a local infrastructure primed for colonization. Check out the leaders of the massive number of Indian owned IT firms around DC, and they're almost always IBM or IBM adjacent. This is especially true of the older ones, while the newer ones are often nepobabies of former founders. It's a tikka masala mafia. A personal aside: I have worked at Indian dev shops and with Indian partners and colleagues for decades. The caste system and the entrenched nepotism are 100% real things; it's literally how their culture functions, and it's why India itself is a non-functioning country. Also, I would not describe them as a particularly honest people. I can't count how many times I've been lied to by somebody with that weird bobbing head thing while they cheerfully smile. And the weirdest part is that they know that I know that they are lying, but they're lying and smiling anyway because they're not ashamed of doing it. There's a sense that if you are dumb enough to get cheated then that means that you deserved it, and it's an incredibly toxic and anti-western way to do business. Then McKinsey (those bstrds) took the model to Walmart, GM, Verizon, Fannie-Mae...everywhere. Very often in my career I've been like: "Wait: Am I even in America right now?". Once, I even got hired because they explicitly needed a white engineer to attend client meetings, while "my" entire team was Indian and half H1B. Nerd Aside: Remember IBM's UML and Rationale Rose, etc.? Those were created to communicate bugs and defects from US based analysts to Indian bases devs. IBM literally created the infrastructure of tech outsourcing, destroying (or never starting) the careers of American engineers. All so that they could make money selling a mediocre product using 3rd world labor. It's FN treasonous. In the parlance of Creighton's excellent Airframe, IBM "gave away the wing"

"...because you or someone else wrote a story 'cause someone gave it to you..." This is the dominant form of news reporting today, and has been so for decades. The most prominent example was the Watergate scandal, where famed reporters Woodward and Bernstein acted as stenographers for a jealous FBI official who wanted to get back at the Nixon White House.
🚨 HOLY CRAP MARCO IS UNLEASHED ON THE FAKE NEWS! "WAIT a minute. I'm NOT playing this game with you! [...] GET THAT OUT OF YOUR HEAD!" "NO. That's NOT the way the process is gonna work!" "You guys are NOT going to be our only source of information in the world. I'm sorry to tell you that!" "We don't conduct these things at a press conference, on a tarmac in a foreign country, because you or someone else wrote a story 'cause someone gave it to you...THAT'S NEVER THE WAY IT'S GONNA WORK WITH ME." "I don't even know what you're reporting is true. You guys somehow walk around thinking that because some source told you something and you reported it — it's GOSEPL? It's NOT the gospel. Not the gospel for me!" 🫳🏻🎤 The press has REPEATEDLY pestered Marco on this trip and he's not taking any of it. Best Secretary of State ever! He's now in Lisbon, Portugal to continue his trip to Europe. Marco has traveled to Iceland and Greece before this His Western Civilization speech in front of the Acropolis yesterday was a banger 🇺🇸

Marco Rubio, from the Pnyx in Athens, calls for a great renewal of the Western spirit. As a Greek, however, I want to speak to you about the place from which the he is giving his speech. The Pnyx was the platform of the Assembly of the People from the reforms of Cleisthenes (around 507 BC) until the late 4th century BC. From there, wars, taxes, and laws were voted on. The site was dedicated to the "Father of men and gods," Zeus, who was regarded as the great protector of the Athenian constitution. For that purpose there was also the great Altar of Zeus Agoraios. The same place was also dedicated to Zeus Hypsistos, who was given the character of a healing god. Here, in the 5th century BC, Themistocles announced the naval preparations to face the Persians and took the decisions that led to the Battle of Salamis, which saved Greek and Western civilization. Here, Aristides called on the Greeks to form an alliance even after the Persian Wars, with a common allied policy. Here, in 430 BC, Pericles delivered the famous Funeral Oration. A short excerpt from his speech: "The brave men had a sense of duty and great ambition. They did not withhold their valor from their country, because they believed that the finest common offering was to sacrifice themselves for it. Together they gave it their lives, and each of them received undying praise and a glorious tomb, not so much the one in which they lie, as the memory of those who will wish to honor them, for the tomb of the great is the whole earth, and it is not revealed by the inscription of a stele in their native land. Even in the most distant places, their memory, unwritten, remains more vivid in men’s souls, more for their courage than for the deed they performed. Taking them as an example, and knowing that happiness means freedom and freedom means courage, you must not shrink before the dangers of war. It is not true that those who are unfortunate and have no hope of a better fate sacrifice their lives more easily. Those who sacrifice them are the ones who, if they try to save their lives by avoiding the inevitable, risk suffering the greatest humiliation if they are defeated. For the brave, the humiliation of cowardice is worse than a noble and unexpected death." (Thucydides, Histories 2.43.2–2.43.6) Here, Alcibiades gave his speech in favor of the Sicilian expedition in 415 BC. Here, Demosthenes gave his speech; having been bribed by the Persians, he waged an anti-Macedonian struggle, and from the same place the Athenian Aeschines answered him, calling him a barbarian and supporting Philip as king-emperor of the Greeks. Here, in modern history as well, General Theodoros Kolokotronis, on 7–8 October 1838, urged the Greeks to support the nation, the preservation of the Orthodox Christian faith as the religion of the Greeks, education, and the struggle for freedom. A very important excerpt from the man who liberated Greece: "My children! On this ground where I stand today, wise men once stood and spoke in the old times, men with whom I am not worthy to be compared, nor even to reach their footprints .. In the land we inhabit lived the ancient Greeks, from whom we too descend and from whom we took this name. They differed from us in religion .. The ancient Greeks, our ancestors, fell into discord and devoured one another, and so first the Romans, then other barbarians, found the opportunity and subdued them. Then the Muslims came and did whatever they could to make the people change their faith. They cut out the tongues of many people, but it proved impossible for them to succeed. They would cut one man’s tongue, and another would make the sign of the cross .. When we decided to make the Revolution, we did not consider how many we were, nor that we had no arms, nor that the Turks held the castles and the cities, nor did any prudent man say to us, ‘Where are you going, to fight with wheat-boats and barrels?’; but like a rain the desire for our freedom fell upon all of us, and all of us—our clergy and the notables and the captains and the educated and the merchants, small and great—all agreed on this purpose and made the Revolution. You must keep your faith and strengthen it, because when we took up arms we said first ‘for the faith’ and then ‘for the fatherland’ .. My children, you must keep your faith and strengthen it, because when we took up arms we said first for the faith and then for the fatherland. All the nations of the world have and keep a religion. Even the Jews, who were persecuted and hated by all nations, nevertheless remain steadfast in their faith. It remains for you to set right and adorn the place that we liberated; and for this to happen, you must have as the foundations of the state concord, religion, cultivation of the Throne, and prudent freedom." From this sacred spot, today, the American Secretary of State Marco Rubio today, 7 October 2026, delivers his own speech on the revival of the Western spirit and the destigmatization of nationalism, the oldest and purest human sentiment that lives in the souls of people who want to protect their religion, their nation, and their families. Only a blind man would fail to see that humanity today is sunk in chaos. The human spirit is in a state of captivity, and at the same time it is sick with a mange that, like a cancer, eats away at its vitals and keeps mind and spirit in a subjugated condition from which they cannot rise toward higher things. The young are uneducated and uncultivated, and the greatest problem is that they themselves think they are educated and on the right side of their own imaginary history. Socrates called such people dokesisophoi, while Aristotle called them two-footed animals. Dokesisophos means “someone who thinks he is wise” but is basically stupid. Nowadays everyone has an opinion about everything. The uneducated are more persuasive to the crowd than the educated. We are in a state of spiritual collapse that leaves its mark everywhere around us: in the arts, in music, in the universities, in architecture and buildings, in politicians, in people’s occupations, and in the empty, soulless entertainment that people find interesting. The revival of the Western spirit is therefore an urgent necessity, and Greece will once again be at the center of that revival. Greece remained in darkness for a long time. But the future has been written by God and surpasses political agendas and individuals. Greece and the Greeks will once again show the way toward the light, so that humanity may come out of the darkness. A civilization that teaches its young to surpass their ancestors in virtue, courage, wisdom, and beauty ascends. One that teaches them to despise or ignore their ancestors has already begun its long descent into oblivion. - Homer Pavlos

Here's how I think it worked: - Intentionally shoddy voter rolls are the feedstock - D SecOfState gives registration data to NGO1 - NGO1 identifies low propensity voters and gives the list to NGO2 - NGO2 oversees a network of local street level ballot harvesters for given lists and targets..which if they do not meet will result in them not being included next election. There doesn't need to be a central committee or anybody making all the decisions, and the only people really breaking the law are low-level harvesters. The fraud self-organizes, but it costs an enormous amount of money. Marc Elias and Norm Eisen are the tip of the spear of a huge legal network getting the rules in place to allow the fraud, and all those NGOs and street level harvesters are on the payroll. It adds up. There were 20-30K democracy/ election related NGOs in the US with reported funding of $3.4B in 2020; that's what the Zuckbucks and Soros paid for. On top of that, there are another 500K "advocacy" NGOs funded at $50B, which is important because the money is fungible and it sloshes around these left wing networks; that's the work @DataRepublican has been doing. So much money and tens of thousands of people on the payroll, all with the single job of maximizing @TheDemocrats votes. Drying up the money cripples the networks. Cleaning the rolls reduces the feedstock, which is important even if the blue states don't participate because lots of red states have bright blue dots in them; think Jacksonville and Houston. Deportations and ICE drain the front line workforce. And lots of those frontline workers are involved in other shady Learing Center type operations and are gonna be lying low, especially if HSI and ICE are at the polls. Evidence: NoKings fizzled, and there were no mass protests this summer. Even Cornell7, AI Apocalypse, and Black Girl Lynchings seem half-hearted, and the 2020 playbook doesn't work anymore. It was all manufactured, and the network that produced it is fractured and under assault. It's a bummer that the SaveAct didn't get passed, but I think all these actions are still going to reduce the fraud, and I further believe that our being a 50/50 country is an illusion. Without the election and census shenanigans, we should already be up 40 seats in the House.

THE LINDER LETTER THIS ELECTION IS DIFFERENT This election is not about President Trump. This election is about you. The night President Trump was elected to serve his second term as president was 50 years to the day after I won my first race for the Georgia House of Representatives. Since that time, I’ve served 14 years in the Georgia House,18 years in Congress and have written and spoke on politics for another 20 or so years. I’m old. There were times during those years when I thought I was pretty important, but then my wife would always remind me of Bill Hudnut. Bill was elected to Congress from Indiana in 1972. He said the first call he received after being elected to Congress was from a lady complaining about her garbage collection. He said, Ma’am, I’ve just been elected to serve you in the Congress of the United States of America. Don’t you think you should call the sanitation department? She said, I really didn’t want to go that high. Since that night 50 years ago there have been 13 presidential elections and 12 off-year elections. And, as I recall, every one of them was the most important election of our lifetimes. This election is different. Let me begin by saying something that may surprise you. This election isn’t about Donald Trump. This election is about you. I know a lot of you have made up your minds about President Trump and nothing I say here is going to change that. That’s fine. I’m not here to talk about him. I’m here to ask you to look past him, at what’s been happening to the party that used to compete with him. Because whatever you think of the past, the ballot in front of you this year is, more than anything, about you and the future. Thirty years ago, we fought Bill Clinton over welfare, healthcare, crime, the environment, taxes and abortion among other things. There were “Blue Dog Democrats” who leaned conservative and liberal Republicans who leaned to the left, and all of the debates were fierce, but healthy, and all were among people of good will. The Democrats sincerely wanted to improve the lives of Americans and were also sincere in believing that the way to do so was through more government programs. A good example was the Clinton Crime Bill that insisted on midnight basketball leagues with mandated diversity among the players and teams. Republicans were more inclined to punish wrong doers. We believed different things. But we debated them honestly. Republicans also want to improve the lives of Americans but we believe that the way to do that is by creating businesses and increasing the number of jobs and increasing the size of the economy. We believe, as President Kennedy believed, that a rising tide lifts all boats. Whatever happened to the party of John Kennedy? The party of Harry Truman, Hubert Humphrey, Sam Nunn, Zell Miller and Bill Clinton? Truman began the containment of the Soviet Union and integrated the armed forces by executive order, and did both without batting an eye to the right or the left. Hubert Humphrey was a Cold War liberal who never apologized for hating communism. He saw the Democrat Party of Minnesota infested with Communists and formed the Democrat Farmer Labor Party which persists today. He never once apologized for America. Sam Nunn ran the Senate Armed Services Committee like a man who understood that the Soviet nuclear arsenal needed to be dismantled regardless of who was in charge. He partnered with Republican Richard Lugar to actually work on it. Zell Miller was the Lieutenant Governor of Georgia for 16 years. He was governor for 8 and then Senator. He was the keynote speaker at the Democrat Convention in 1992 and the Republican convention in 2004. He was a friend. I once asked him about changing parties and he said, John, I’m a Democrat through and through. Zell remains, in my view, the finest Georgia public servant of my lifetime. And Bill Clinton — whatever I said about him thirty years ago, and I said plenty — stood in front of Congress in 1996 and told his own party, “The era of big government is over.” He signed a welfare reform bill and a balanced budget to prove he meant it. I didn’t agree with these men on most things. But the debate was always inside a framework of a shared America. They believed in a strong military and a dangerous world. They believed work was better than a welfare check. They believed that Communism was an enemy, not a misunderstood alternative. We could fight about taxes and spending the way families fight about money, but inside the same house. And all of them – and all of us – were for secure borders. In any one of the previous 12 off-year elections one side or the other would win and the debate would again be as to how big or how little to tax and spend. How big or little the government’s role in our lives should be. And we survived. This election is different. This past year, Democratic Socialists of America candidates won the New York City mayor’s race and then, months later, in primaries unseated sitting Democratic members of Congress. Adriano Espaillat, chairman of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus and a long time New York City political leader, was defeated by Darializa Avila Chevalier. No one saw it coming. Chevalier had founded a group whose stated aim was “the total eradication of western civilization.” Won’t it be interesting to see her take the oath to defend the Constitution. In Colorado, 29-year-old Democratic Socialist Melat Kiros defeated thirty-year incumbent Diana DeGette. The Mayor of Seattle is a Democratic Socialist as well as the likely winners in November in Washington DC and Los Angeles. The mayor of New York City went on national television and said that a democratic socialist can win any office in America. He may be right. We now have a radical Islamist leading in the race for the United States Senate in Michigan. His principal advisor is a man who believes that the US deserved 9-11 and that the US is worse than al Qaida in the world. The analysts will tell you these wins so far are mostly in the bluest ground in America, and that winning a primary in Manhattan isn’t the same as winning a seat Republicans and Democrats both have to fight for. That’s a fair point. But the direction of the Democrat Party is clear. The energy, the money, the volunteers, and now the elected candidates are moving one way. That train has left the station and normal Democrats are racing to get on board. Democrat Congressman Tom Suozzi from New York formed Promise to America to unite Democrats around four basic declarations. We are capitalists not socialists. We want safety not lawlessness. We are mainstream not extreme. We are proud, not ashamed of America. Just 13 out of 212 members of the House signed on. Analysts tell us that Democratic Socialists are not Communists. However, just before the Fourth of July, Ashik Siddique, co-chair of The Democratic Socialists of America appeared on The Will Cain Show. He said, “Our goal is Communism.” Over half of the Board of Directors of the Democratic Socialists of America self-identify as Communists. A recent poll concluded that 67% of Democrats prefer Socialism over Capitalism. I live by a simple rule – when someone tells you who they are – believe them. Just eight years ago Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez defeated the Chairman of the Democratic Caucus for a seat in the US House of Representatives. She was the first recruit of the Democrat Socialists and was dismissed as a lightweight. Today she is in the top rank of Democrats for the presidential nomination in 2028. Other than bartending, this is her first job. She is 36 years old. Before her ascension, Chuck Schumer was one of the adults in the room. He was for secure borders and a secure Israel. He now shrinks in her presence and she will take his senate seat if she doesn’t run for president. He is fully on board the train. Quaking at every stop, but on board. Ten years ago, abortion remained the central organizing principle of the Democrat Party. Today it has to get in line behind support for Gaza, hate against Jews, mutilating children, boys in girls’ bathrooms, men having babies and punishment of success – and, of course, Communism. Everyone in the Party must get on board or get left behind. This election is different. And this election will have a direct impact on your life. When Joe Biden was elected, his first actions were to stop the building of the Keystone Pipeline and end the sale of oil leases. Oil, being a futures market, quickly spiked because the future did not look good. Everything you buy is brought to you by oil and the cost of living spiked. The trillion-dollar infrastructure bill that passed in 2021 was largely a bill to fund green energy projects. Increasing regulations to deal with the climate change myth increased the cost of everything you buy also, including the cost of housing. The border was opened up completely, the UN and other NGOs situated themselves in Panama organizing foreigners to come to the US. We gave hundreds of millions of dollars to them to help usher 15 to 20 million new people into our country costing local and state governments billions of dollars and increasing the crimes against American citizens. A working paper from the Fed concluded that 30% of the increase in the cost of new housing was caused by those immigrants. Our Department of Justice not only spent three years and tens of millions of dollars trying to put Donald Trump in jail, they also indicted 72 others who either worked for him or aided his election. They also spied on Catholic churches, prosecuted pro-lifers, deployed the FBI against parents at school board meetings - and tapped the phones of their political enemies. And when Donald Trump was elected, the Biden Administration spent the next 76 days before Trump’s inauguration shoveling money out the door to get it out of his reach. $93 billion was given away by the energy department. According to Secretary of Energy, Chris Wright, many of these late-stage loans were being directed toward companies that “had no clear business plan or path to financial viability.” Not to be outdone, the EPA shoveled $20 billion out to a Citibank custodial account to be drawn down by 8 NGOs for green energy projects. One of the recipient NGOs, Power Forward Communities, was organized by Stacy Abrams just prior to the grant. She had $100 in its account. The EPA modified the grant agreements right before the transition to legally strip the agency of its own oversight powers. The unique structure allowed the eight NGOs to withdraw the money out of the Citibank accounts without requiring any EPA approval or even having a serious plan. Fortunately, Lee Zeldin caught the fraud, froze the money and is in the process of trying to recover it. They are, of course, suing him. The world we are looking at today is radically different than the world we lived in just two years ago. Our borders are no longer even a point of discussion. Contact with illegals at our borders is down about 97% and over 3 million have been removed. Our tax bill is permanent and relief for middle class Americans regarding tips, overtime and Social Security is secure. The EPA rollback of the 2009 endangerment finding on global warming will save American taxpayers and manufacturers over $1.3 trillion in compliance costs, and lower the average cost of a new vehicle roughly $2,400. In addition, there are new lifelines for the oil, gas and coal industries and finally – that mud puddle that forms by the barn after every rain will no longer be considered a wetland that must be protected by the EPA. Iran, for all the debate over the war, is no longer the imminent threat it has been for 47 years. Their nuclear capability has been neutralized. Their offensive capabilities no longer exist and Hamas, Hezbollah and the Houthis are on their own. Seven presidents have watched while tens of thousands have been killed across the globe. That is over. They still, however, chant Death to America. When someone tells you who they are – believe them. And, of course, corruption: Hospice care, child care, adult care, unemployment compensation, organ and tissue transplants, autism care, Covid loans and student loans have all been found to be riddled with fraud. American taxpayers have even been funding a civil war in Somalia. Pure fraud has been estimated to be in the hundreds of billions of dollars a year. Not a single Democrat has even spoken out about it. That is all coming to an end under the task force let by Vice President Vance. And, most importantly, a world that has been moving inexorably toward a new world order for 70 years no longer is. The WTO is weak the WHO is neutered, the WEF is laughable, the UN is broke and the International Court has been told by Secretary Rubio that we just aren’t interested in playing, thank you very much. Nationhood is back. Just as in the security of the border, all of this didn’t take another Congressional law, it just took another president. We are once again respected – and a little bit feared – in the world. This election is different. If the Democrats win this election and re-take the Congress, expect every issue we have corrected – the world, the border, the economy, regulations, taxes, green energy scams as well as child mutilation, boys in girls’ sports and punishment of success and, who knows, perhaps even rampant corruption, to return – with a vengeance. Expect to see congressional investigations into conservatives and every conservative idea. And, of course, another impeachment or two. Expect their most desired change in 2021, HR1, to return. It is a total re-write of election laws across the country. We have been engaged in a knock-down drag-out battle over whether one has to be a citizen to vote in our elections and to have a photo ID to prove you are who you claim to be. We are told by the Democrats and their propaganda arm, the Legacy Media, that election law is a matter for state legislatures. However, their HR1 totally subsumes the states’ role and eliminates voter ID, even in states that have passed it. It expands mail-in voting and ballot harvesting. It also provides for federal funding of campaigns. Every dollar raised by a candidate in amounts below $200 will receive a 6 to 1 match by the taxpayer. Food stamps for politicians! In the 2024 election AOC would have qualified for a gift from you of more than 120 million dollars. You can do a lot of damage with 120 million dollars. In 2016 Bernie Sanders would have qualified for just under an additional billion dollars. That did not pass in 2021 because 2 Democrat Senators refused to vote to eliminate the filibuster. Those two Senators are no longer there. Today, if they win, the filibuster will be gone on opening day and HR 1 will pass. We will also have statehood for Washington DC, Puerto Rico and Guam giving the Democrats six more senators. The Supreme Court will be expanded to at least 13 members giving the Left a 7 to 6 majority immediately. Let us welcome 4 more Ketanji Brown Jacksons to the Court. The media tell us, of course, that this is all speculation. I repeat: When someone tells you who they are and what they intend to do – believe them. Which brings me back to why I didn’t want to make this about one man. Presidents come and go. Policies last forever. EVERYONE is angry today about our healthcare system. It is too costly, too distant and too out of control. It is the direct result of a policy decision taken by the Democrat Party when they had a huge majority in the House and a filibuster-proof Senate. The government decides what you must insure and who will provide it. The government will decide. Not you. If you are a 59-year-old single woman seeking health insurance today you must pay to insure for hair transplants, HIV/Aids treatment, obstetrics and pediatric dentistry. Would you rather not insure for matters that don’t affect you? Your government knows best. And more is coming. For many years what starts in California ultimately finds its way to Washington DC. Fifty years ago, it was the tax revolt and proposition 13. Today it is a series of proposals that are just revolting. California has given us five examples just this year. A young independent journalist named Nick Shirley went to California and filmed taxpayer-funded hospice and daycare corruption — the same kind of corruption he found in Minnesota and New York. The response from Sacramento wasn’t to investigate the fraud. It was to shut down investigations. The state will decide what is and is not corruption. Not you. California now bars schools from requiring staff to tell a parent if their child asks to be treated as a different gender at school. Supporters say it protects kids in unsafe homes. The state will decide about your child’s needs. Not you. California recently created the first state agency in America built to verify whether you descended from an enslaved person, as a qualifying test for state benefits in housing, education, and economic opportunity. The state will decide who was enslaved and who will benefit. Not you. A new state law this year lets the state override local zoning and allow multi-story apartment buildings in neighborhoods zoned for single families. You may think that’s good housing policy. You may not. But the state will decide on your zoning. Not you. California voters will decide this November on a one-time 5% tax on the assets of any resident worth over a billion dollars. You may think – a billionaire can afford it. But it will be coming to you soon. The plan doesn’t just tax what you own — it presumes you own whatever you control. Google’s Sergey Brin owns about 5% of Alphabet stock, but his special shares give him voting control over a quarter of the company. Under the plan’s own language, that voting control — not his actual ownership — is what gets taxed. A quarter of a $4.2 trillion company, taxed at 5%, comes to $52.5 billion. To raise that in cash he’d have to sell over $80 billion in stock, about 60% of his holdings, pay tens of billions in federal and state capital gains tax on the sale itself, and crater the share price on the way out the door. Brin and his co-founder didn’t wait around to find out what might happen in the future. They left the state. Today that line is drawn at a billion dollars. Nobody who has ever watched a tax threshold in this country believes it will stay there. And it’s coming. To a city near you. Five examples. Five different subjects — journalism, your child, your history, your city, your money. One answer to all of them. They decide. Not you. So let me tell you why “who decides” is not an abstraction to me. It is the story of my own life. I grew up in a small town in northern Minnesota near two Chippewa Indian reservations. The Indian children went to school with us. Every fifth-grade class I can recall had an Indian child at the top of the class. They were smart. They were artistic. They didn’t graduate. Teen age pregnancies, crime, alcohol, violence. There were no fathers in those homes. For over a hundred years America gathered the Indians up onto reservations and bureaucrats told them where to go to school, which dentist and doctor to see, where to buy school clothes, and we paid the bill. Soon, the influence of the breadwinner was replaced by a bureaucrat with a government check and the breadwinner left. I’m the only white man who ever played baseball with the Inger Indians. I was the catcher on that team and we had a pitcher named Richie Robinson. Richie had a curve ball that looked like it was coming at you from third base. He was offered a minor league contract that summer. He didn’t know if he should take it. I said, “Richie, you’re 26 years old and you’ve never had a job. They want to pay you to play baseball. Take the contract.” Six weeks later he was back home. I asked him what happened. He said, “I just couldn’t make it. I didn’t know how to get an apartment so the owner had to help me. I kept getting confused about changing buses. I didn’t know if I should get a black and white or color T.V. I just couldn’t make all those decisions.” At age 17 I realized that government decisions had stolen from them the ability to make decisions about their own lives. Richie Robinson, Esica Ogema, David Cloud, Johnny Wakanabo, Tom Bowstring. They all died young. Not because government did too little. Because government did too much. Having done so well with the American Indian we replicated the reservation in every major city in America with the very same results. Teen age pregnancies, crime, violence, drugs. No fathers in those homes. Not because government did too little. Because government did too much. In spite of the total collapse of communism and socialism around the world, the Democratic Socialists of America honestly believe that more government will fix the problems that government has created. They don’t trust your decisions. They trust theirs. They do not know – as we know – that the human being dreams – not for one more government program – but for freedom. The Soviet Union learned that in just 69 years. Ilya Ehrenberg, a Russian poet, wrote, “If all the world were covered with asphalt, one day in that asphalt, a crack would appear. And in that crack – grass would grow.” That is the dream of the human spirit. That is the dream of freedom. I refuse to say that this election is the most important election of our lifetimes. But this election is different. If they win, the world will never be the same. And it won’t be just how or when you can get healthcare. This will be a new debate, not over how much or how little. This will be a debate over what. And they will decide what. Bill Buckley founded the National Review in 1955. For the next 35 years, Buckley and his team, including for a time former Soviet spy and National Review senior editor Whittaker Chambers, were in fierce resistance against the threat of communism to the United States. In 1954 Chambers had written a letter to Buckley laying out his view that the threat of communism was not from without, but from within. Chambers wrote, “It is idle to speak of saving Western Civilization because Western Civilization is already a wreck from within. That is why we can hope to do little more than snatch a fingernail off a saint on the rack, or a handful of ashes from the faggots and bury them secretly, in a flowerpot, against that day ages hence, when a few men begin again to dare to believe that there once was something else. That something else is thinkable and need some evidence of what it was and the fortifying knowledge that there were those who, at the great nightfall, took loving thought to preserve the tokens of hope and truth.” I began this by saying that this is not about Donald Trump. This is about you. The future will come down to you and your neighbors and your friends. Are you the little platoons in the cities, in the towns, in the neighborhoods, who dare to believe that the tokens of hope and truth are worth saving? I think that you are. I think you will look at the choices beyond the personalities. I think you will conclude that this election is different and rally to turn out the communists among us and choose instead freedom. And my grandchildren and great-grandchildren will say thank you. As will I. Thank you. THE LINDER LETTER is free. But if you enjoyed this post, please subscribe and share it with your friends.

After the first Falcon 1 rocket exploded 33 seconds after launch in March 2006, Elon Musk did something that his employees did not expect. He personally called the family members of the engineers who had worked on the rocket. Not the engineers. Their families. The engineers were at the launch site. They had watched their work explode in the sky. They were processing the failure in real time with their colleagues. They had each other. Their families were at home. Their spouses and parents had watched on a livestream or heard the news secondhand. They had no colleagues. They had no context. They just knew that the thing their husband or wife or child had spent 3 years building had just been destroyed in 33 seconds and they didn't know if anyone was hurt. Elon called to tell them everyone was safe. That the failure was a known risk. That the team would try again. That their family member had done extraordinary work and the explosion was not a reflection of their ability. One engineer's wife said the call lasted 4 minutes. She said Elon sounded tired but calm. She said he didn't minimize the failure or exaggerate the optimism. He stated the facts and said "your husband is brilliant and we are going to fly again." The engineers learned about the calls later. Several described it as the moment they decided to stay at SpaceX. Not because the CEO called their families. Because the CEO understood that the family at home absorbs the weight of the failure without any of the camaraderie that makes it bearable for the team. The rockets get the headlines. The families hold the weight in the dark. He called the families.
